This game isn't trying to do much, but it does everything near perfectly. Really seems like something you could find in mobile, where readability and clean mechanics are king.

Fun Game! It'd be nice if there was more in the game because at the moment it feels kinda empty after a while

Fits the theme so well! I like the idea of combing the elements and changing yours.

I'm not sure I understand what happens when both elements are the same - it seemed to do something different each time. It might be nice to have a way to bring up a menu that shows all the weaknesses and affinities in a grid.

After a round or two I feel like I had seen it all. Would be interested to see what new twists or additions could be added to make different enemies feel unique/varied (besides just more health). I think there's a lot of promise in the core idea! :)

Thanks for your kind words and detailed review, I hope you enjoyed!

It's my fault to not explain but if you are curious(or someone who has the same issue) here is what happens when both cards are the same:

  • Both cards are compared and game takes the difference between them.
  • If enemy card value was higher, difference goes to you as damage/heal and if you have resistance to it, you don't be effected (Such as playing "Leaf" Card to "Fire" formed enemy, Fire is uneffected to "Leaf"). If your value was higher, difference goes to enemy.

Long story short, for player: Take the difference and take the damage or heal according to you and card's form.

Core concept is really promising like you said,  but in 48 hours this is what I can make as a solo :)

I would definitely add more different approaches to mechanics including different bosses (with different types of actions), card types besides elements, levels and so on.

It can be really good mobile game but there's too much to do to make it a bearable experience. Even I didn't played it more than 20 minutes :D

Whenever I got free time, I will definitely play your game and leave a detailed review as well, it seems really stylized! Have a good day!

Great job on the game! I can tell you put a lot of thought and work into it! It is a really cool concept! It was a little confusing to get the hang of, but eventually I figured it out. The strategy behind it is pretty cool! Great job!

Very clean minimalistic design! Took some time to understand the rules but overall an interesting take on the theme.

I loved how the tactics would creep on you. There's the obvious, but then there's the first-mover advantage and the idea that you can force the demon to place effects on itself and the like. I would have liked a clearer game plan for the demon. Sometimes, it would hurt itself even when by playing another card it could have chosen to have no effect. I feel like the ability to reason out the demon's moves would have really taken this to the next level.

I will say, it didn't quite seem to fit the theme.

This is great. Would love more depth and the ability to take a card back from the arrow board in case you misplace one.

Good job!

Good graphics, but overcomplicated tutorial
Today I'm quite dumb player, so missed understanding of rules)

Really neat approach to a card game, and really really clean design that both looks good and communicates how the card interactions work. I had fun, glad I played :)

Congratulations on your submission. A solid card game with clever rules and mechanics.

Nice and simple! I like the idea of thinking ahead and making combos!

Interesting Idea. I liked it!

Wow, I can only imagine how much time it must have taken to implement the card mechanics for each combination. I enjoyed trying out different strategies. Well done!

Developer

Thanks! It was so hard that you won't even believe. Even AI has like 1500 lines of code :D Thanks for your review and have a good day!

Fun twist on card games that I don't think I've seen too much - choosing which cards to play against yourself or your opponent can be tricky when trying to plan ahead your turns.

One thing I didn't understand was the point of the End Turn button? Since you only have one card to play, I feel like the turn should just end after you play it.

Overall nice work!

Submitted

Oh also, I seem to have crashed the game by clicking/dragging cards after having placed a card but before clicking end turn.. some cards then disappear, or get stuck on screen

Developer

Thanks for pointting out that bug! I realised know. There is too much complex systems in these simple card game and that is some glitch in timing system. It automatically destroys because of the time limit. After that everything crashes because this isn't supposed to happen.

I think this is the downside of 2500+ lines of code  in one script :D You can't see small details in it.

Also your review is really meaningful to me, good to see someone who actually know and understands card games. Thanks for your review!

Love the art style and the clean presentation! I think the rules can be a bit complicated at first, but its really fun once you get the hang of it!

Love the graphics, so crisp. It was fun after getting use to it.

Nice graphics, but how is it roles reversed?

Developer

How it fits the theme?

- You can change health and damage cards' roles. Damage card can be healing card, vice versa.

- You can  play cards to yourself instead of to the opponent, meaning you can play as an opponent.

Submitted

we get it, it fits. The game is good anyway so, chill...

Submitted

Nice and clean gameplay, it doesn't really fit the theme though.

Developer

It fits, you can use X card as a healing or you can change it to  damage card. So its role is "reversed".  Do I need to make another pun intended explains?
