Nice game ! You did a very good job with the sprites and visuals, and the gameplay loop is good ! Congrats !
I like your choice of story. It has determined all you game design element and made the whole very coherent and very pretty.
For a post-jam version, It would be cool to have more stories like Icarus, but with other characters and with each its own gameplay. Like David and Goliath, or Sisyphus and all the other...
Good job !
Really cool game, the idea is beautifully executed! Well done
Short, but really well put-together experience. I applaud the restraint on scoping, and it clearly paid dividends in the game's presentation.
Love this twist on the classic Myth. It wasn't Icarus' hubris and overexcitement that killed him. It was the sun shooting fire balls and barreling towards him a high speeds xD
The demise of men because of the questionable wrath of the gods is very classic for an Antiquity tale though! It's a spin on a classic tale, but it still feels authentic! Personally, I love that the sun sounds like he is shooting wet paper through a straw when conducting his divine punishment.
Very unique concept. The art and the sound fit together very well. It was kinda hard to land the shots but a solid submission nonetheless!
Enjoyable game, it was hard to hit them often as the movemement was so erratic but it was a great prototype. Very glad for the controller support thank you.
Love it. The aesthetic is top notch, the attacks you have are intuitive, and it's just the right amount of silly. Aiming was a bit touchy, and I would've liked an in-game explanation of the controls, but as is this is a great little game. Well done :)
This game is beautifully made, the visuals are stunning and the music in the background perfectly fits the theme of Icarus vs The Sun. Extremely well made for the time limit! The shooting I believe could use a slight amount of aim assist for player satisfaction and I wish there was more to do as I was able to complete it within the first run, but overall this is a brilliant take on the theme and very well executed, congrats! :D
Great game!
I really like the game’s presentation! It would have been nice if there was a little more depth to the gameplay itself, but it’s still very flavourful. A fantastic effort for only 48 hours!
Amazing! Sometimes a short and polished idea is better than a long and broken one. I enjoyed this very much, putting so much thought into the details must have taken a lot of time and research. Amazing presentation, great work! A longer game in this style with different gods would be something Id pay for!
Cool idea, great art and overall execution. Good job!
i had long thought helios was kindof a bitch for killing icarus, well now that i was in his place, i get it. very fun and the art is incredible!
Nice game !
In my opinion, better than the Icarus survival game
Great game! Loved the atmosphere, visuals and audio. It was really well put together.
I would have empathised with Icarus' tale more if I knew the sun had a gun.
I like the art style a lot.
Love the art style. Would love to see some more content, this has potential.
So fun and creative! I've been getting into greek Mythology lately so this was a treat
I love the themes and visuals of this game. The gameplay is very simple but it the idea seems finished, which is impressive for a 2 day jam.
