This was a fun game.  The switch mechanic was enjoyable to use, which is a hard thing to do to make a really fun mechanic in such a short time.

Fun puzzle game! Reminds me a bit of "Thomas was Alone", which I really loved. Could see this being developed using a time looping or reversal mechanic, where you set up a path for the robots and they follow that path in a loop after you swap to another robot. Nice job!

Developer

The time looping was sorta what we we’re going for, though I think we didn’t get to present that idea as well as we could. But now you did get my brain juicing with what you’re describing. Thanks for the feedback!

Cool idea! I enjoyed the puzzles and artwork. The music was also catchy and well suited the game.

This idea is good and can still be improved so much I really like these kinds of games, I enjoyed myself.

Loved the idea, would be great to expand this idea. Took me some trial and error to work out the AI switching mechanic. Excellent work!

The idea is clever and the game is fun to play. Art is really nice, although I would make the switches stand out a bit more from the rest of the tiles. I'm really curious how do you solve the last level, since it looks like you cannot force the jumping robot to go left instead of right? Overall solid entry, well done :)

Hey thanks for the feedback! I think you are right, one of the things we discussed in our own post-mortem was that we really didn’t extend/explore our switching idea enough to make it stand out.

As for the last level, I was kinda surprised that some of people somehow were able to solve it. Here’s a small hint, you’d have to abuse some bugs :)

I'm excited to see more levels with this!

Cool concept. Swapping AI offers some cool possibilities. It was until the last level that I realized the arrows next to a robot tell you what program they are running.

Developer

In retrospect, we could have given the players a little more guidance for the game. Thanks for the feedback!

Really amazing game!

I love the graphics of the different robots and the switching mechanic feels really good.

It took me a while to see the switches the open doors, I would differentiate them more from the background.

The puzzles are fun and clever!
I can absolutely see this becoming a really cool full game with some more types of robots and maybe a bit of story.

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Unfortunately, texturing the pressure plate properly was something I wanted to do that I didn’t get to do. They were supposed to be placeholder textures :(

Submitted(+1)

Wow! I absolutely love this concept! You could totally get super creative with these puzzles, I really hope you expand upon this and do a full release! The robots are really fun too, I like the jumpy boy.

Submitted(+1)

I can see a version of this being on steam. Truly great work!

The Concept Is Fun Tho The Puzzle Are Really Difficult And Sometimes I Don't Even Know How I Solved Them :P

Submitted(+1)

This was a fun concept! The visuals are pretty nice too.

Submitted(+1)

I really liked the puzzle designs, I had a hard time understanding it at first, I think it’s pretty fluent once you understand mechanic.

Submitted(+1)

Clever puzzles! Though the second and the last puzzles were too clever for me...

Submitted(+1)

Fun and simple! Love the puzzles, love the concept! Wish there was a little bit more work up of tutorial, even if it is simple it always feels nice to introduce one at a time!

Developer

Yeah I think we needed to better guide the player. But unfortunately we didn’t have time. Thanks for the feedback!

Swapping mechanic sort of reminds me of what I did for my game, but it being in a completely different genre is very cool to see. A lot of the puzzles were really fun to solve!

Developer

Ooooh, I’ll go check it out. Thanks I’m glad you enjoyed it.

Fun concept! It's almost like a platformer version of Ghost Trick. I really enjoyed being able to use the different robot movesets to try and sequence-break different puzzles and find alternate solutions. I think you could really do a lot with this concept post-jam if you add more robots and maybe even let the player swap/combine physical robots together to reach new places that a default bot couldn't access. Great job on your submission!

Developer(+1)

Yes! there were a bunch of movesets that we had some ideas for. Like that was our game vision. But we really simplified it because we didn’t have time.

I was thinking about making a post-jam version with some improvements, but we’ll have to see if we can and want to do that.

interesting idea, well-executed gameplay, but I felt that very quickly I already had many types of robots and I didn't have to think too much to finish a level, it was a lot of trial and error.

Developer

Hmm yeah, we could have done better pacing, but we didn’t get a lot of time to tinker with that too much. Oh well….thats just a game jam for ya. I probably could try to focus more on the pacing next time.

Cool idea mechanically, though could've used a tutorial. Overall, good job!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, we did talk about doing something simple, like at least showing the controls in the game. But we ended up not having enough time. Thanks for the feedback!
