Good game and very polished. Tenuous link to the theme I would say but this year was a hard one.

Really interesting mechanics and puzzle design! I could see more levels and mechanics being added post-jam

The art and audio are great too!

Intriguing concept! Having the cursors move at the same time as the player and also act as obstacles is a nice design decision!

I feel like right now, it’s not restrictive enough, though, if that makes sense? Like, it’s really hard to ever get into a losing state, so most of the puzzles can be solved semi-arbitrarily shuffling the characters around until they line up in a good way. Also, you rarely need to plan ahead.

I’m not sure how to make the levels more restricting, but I bet there are ways without compromising the main idea too much. Maybe you could make it so cursors can only pick up boxes once? Or actually have a fail state when a cursor and the player collide or something like that? I’m not sure, but there are certainly things you can try.

Full disclosure, though, I am a fan of hard puzzle games, so the puzzle difficulty I like in games is not necessarily the one a broad audience would also like. For a jam entry, definitely a very solid proof of concept!

Great variation the Sokoban genre! :D Well done! :D

The diffuculty is well balance, love the music and that levels aren't static but feel lively with walls being animated.

It's not really connected with the theme but it's still an interesting idea.

Really enjoyed my time with this game.

The game is great. The art is nice, the music fits, the mechanic is interesting. Still, I feel like this game has 2 major design problems:
1. There are 10 levels and only 1 mechanic. While yes that is totally understandable for a jam, I feel like so much potential is lost because the only thing added in the 10 levels are more cursors. You could add blocks that can only be moved by the player, not the cursor.  You could add surface areas that make a block slide etc. Typical things you find in a game, but these give it more depth.
2. I personally feel like this doesn't fit with the theme. Yes, I understand the 'idea' behind how it fits the theme, but it just doesn't present itself in game like it. I rather feel like the little target is an extension of the character rather than a cursor.
Still, the game was very fun, played all the levels. Congrats to you for also making it look and sound nice.
Note: I'm not at all saying my game is better, this is just constructive criticism.

10/10 I've played all the levels and I think the difficulty is perfect for me.

I loved the puzzles in this game 10/10

Awesome puzzles design, nice visual. Tiny issue at level 1 is I didn't know what to do at first.

A bit confusing at the start but after I understood it, the game became really fun and interesting. The music was really nice and the visuals were really soothing. Great game!

Really cool game! Struggled at first to understand but eventually it clicked (literally) and I was puzzling away no problem. Sweet submission, I like the idea on the theme of reversing the design of the puzzles into the player's favour. Nice submission!

Very solid puzzle game and I did find the mechanic quite clever way to make use of tight spaces! only issue is I don't quite feel it fits the theme all that well

This was really fun! I enjoyed the art style and how the music fit as well. Very polished game and interesting puzzles as well, great job!

Cute sokoban style game. I'm not sure if I was missing something but I didn't figure out how to put the blocks on buttons (I could move them but not onto buttons).

Developer (1 edit)

youre not supposed to! you position them with the cursor and push them onto buttons with the character

oh it makes sense now! the puzzles are cool, it reminds me of 2048 for some reason

Loved this poki! The low-fi monocolor graphics really work for what you're going for, and the puzzles were really well thought out. I thought it was a good difficulty and I never felt too frustrated.
