As I said to previous player: The idea is to keep ball rolling as long as possible by the value of your safety. While it rolls, it gives new bricks and points :)
So if you have time I would recommend to try give game a second chance :)

also, didnt quite get how to score more points, I was usually not more than at 50

Very cool take on reversing arkanoid, reminds me a little bit of rampart. I like that you also have to manage your player's position. Looks excellent, Very refined pixel art style. Sound design is also good!

Really smart gameplay, trying to edge out the ball to roll longer but putting yourself in more danger.

This is a Jam highlight maybe even a Jam winner for sure, extremely well made game, fantastic art, strong game loop with an online leader board to keep me addicted, shame I never got a good enough score to want my name on there but you win some you lose some, only bit of criticism I have is the music is a bit repetitive, that's it! Answering your comment - yes, it’s very cool to see how we could make an attempt on Arkanoid remake differently :D
I like this one. It looks and sounds awesome, intuitive, and fun :) Just like in my game - the ball is sometimes stuck in the loop but seems to randomly change direction after a moment (or go straight to my castle - what it sadly did :D). Good job!
