randomizing the keys of a platformer sounds like an absolute terror to play on paper, but its actually fairly well done! its very difficult, but its not impossible, and i really like how it looks. I wanna get that lil robot to the end really bad. I probably will just need to practice, but I generally like most everything about this game! Id love to see this concept polished a bit, maybe made less difficult

I love the idea of randomizing the keys, although it will be very hard with the wall of spikes killing me instantly trying to figure out the controls. I feel showing the player as the UI on which keys are randomize will be ideal. I feel like this sort of game is like a survival/thriller sort of game where you have to run away from this wall of spikes and go through obstacles, I think generally concept is very good but game design can be worked on and improved. being a 2D platformer and having to jump across while HAVING my controls randomized, makes this game I feel personally difficult to play in a way with constantly dying, having to respawn again, I think demotivates me to play in a way. I like how the art looks but I feel music for the game and sfx will improve the game a lot. I think the game needs more polishing as well, as I was able to stand up while crouching through the tunnel. I also like the animation of the MC character.
Overall, cool concept and nice idea of reversing the control and randomizing it. Balancing the game and find a middle ground of making the game easily playable will be difficult but hope to see further updates on the game!
btw 59 seconds before submissions reminds me of my college assignments ahaha
Thank you for your detailed feedback, we truly appreciate it. We understand your concerns about the difficulty level and the randomized controls. Balancing the gameplay to make it more enjoyable and finding a middle ground is indeed a challenge haha. We'll consider your suggestions, such as showing the keys on the UI and improving the game's design, music, sound effects, and overall polish. Thanks for playing!

It's a real brain-teaser! I wasn't able to get past the third reversal. I'd love to see a youtube video of the gameplay. Great graphics, just wish there were sound. Clever idea randomizing the keys the way you did. That must have taken a lot of planning and effort.

It wasn't my cuppa, but I've seen that other people had fun with it! I wish that there were an on-screen keyboard layout to help my fingers guess where the right buttons were. That probably would have helped me a lot!

Clever idea to randomize the keys! I felt like there could have been some more depth to the game, but it was a very solid concept which I think has plenty of room for growth!

Really wished there were music and sound (was there? I've been having audio issues. Let me know if I missed it). Still, you did an amazing job with the graphics and animations! I would generally give 2 stars for the partial presentation, but I give it 3 for good visuals.
This is the type of comment I'm looking for in game jams.
First of all, thanks for your honest input! I appreciate the time you spend playing the game and leaving a meaningful review. I'm glad you enjoyed the visuals and the concept.
As I said to others, we had the usual game jam issues and the project is severely unpolished. The game has no sound at all and the character controller leaves a lot to be desired, but the clock was ticking.
I really wanted to add a UI displaying the current configuration, I think it's quite anti-player and unfair not only to ask the player to play Twister on their keyboard but also to memorize the current key bindings. Even if the intention was to make a rage game, the lack of polish made the game harder than intended.
I'll update the project after the voting period ends. Thanks again for playing!
Very challenging and creative concept. Made for a very difficult but engaging experience.
The art was also quite charming.
Good job!
Very interesting proof of concept which just lacked a little polish. Still overall a fantastic game with great art. Good job!!!
The idea for it to turn into a tank was very cool. Loved the art, and very clever use of the game jam theme of reverse roles. Too bad I suck at these kinds of mind-bending games haha, but I still really enjoyed it.
I hate WASD... but that was a BLAST! The ART was great and the GAMEPLAY was great!
Controls were super confusing... I love it! Great work, I love the idea of your controls going haywire. The explanation of the mechanics and physics could be better but overall I love the concept!
Really well animated, though lacking some polish with the collision detections and the like. Fairly fun, I think your strength is the concept (though I have seen similar things in jams before) but the weakness is the design. It could have used some hand-crafted keybind switching early on to ease the player into it, and puzzles designed to make things harder because of these switches as the game goes on.
First of all, thanks for your honest feedback! I appreciate that you took the time to play the game and leave an insightful comment.
As I said to others, I couldn't agree more: the game lacks polish and proper design. We had the usual game jam problems and threw in whatever we could to publish something in time.
Thanks again for playing! I've added your game to a collection to play it during the week, I'll leave a comment with some feedback as soon as I play it.
I got a little confused in the beginning but after I understood what was going on it was pretty fun. The key rebinds animation looked very cool to me. Congrats on your submission!
Very well communicated, you have plenty of time understand what inputs are about to change and quickly play twister on your keyboard lol
