Very interesting concept. Unfortunately, it was very difficult for me to estimate the speed of the fruits, which is why I often missed. I love the art style. Amazing work though.

this video explains the tool, then I coded it a little differently to adapt the tool to the existing code but the result should be the same.
I then applied a gradient color that uses the brightest and the darkest color for each fruit 🍊 and applied some transparency.
Then I added a .... we can call it "lag effect" on it: if you look closely 👀 you can see the line does not follow the mouse 🖱️ perfectly at the same speed, that's because the "sensibility" of the mouse movement would make the aim harder.

Pretty good game! I like the idea!
My main complaint is that the game doesn't feel as dynamic as the game it's based on. Everything moves at constant speed. Would be nice, if speed of Xs increased as game progresses, and maybe they could be a bit varied in speed in general, which would make for more interesting gameplay. Also it could help make situations with 2 Xs more fair, in my opinion.
Otherwise, I enjoyed my time playing this game!

Very fun, I could do this for hours. Art and music are also very fun!
Really nice artwork and creative idea. Took me a bit to realize that you had to aim the fruits at the purple x's, but after that it was pretty fun. My current best score is 95, but I think that's just my skill. 🥲
Nice game, fits the theme in a fun, interractive and clever way! And damn those visuals are top notch, congrats to the artists!

I very much enjoyed the game, really nice idea, design, polish and art. I actually got addicted to playing it and I couldn't stop, which is very rare for a jam game! The only feature I would have liked would be a pause menu, with a restart feature.
Did experience some issues with web build though, I couldn't see the fruits and some menus were broken (prob because of rendering order, had a similar issue in my game with one of the sprites). Also, not sure if it's a bug, but a fruit getting sliced twice at the same time counts twice for points.

Best game I've played so far! Even better than the original fruit ninja in my opinion. I spent way too long trying to beat 2110, but I finally did with 2300.
You really nailed the feeling of fruit ninja but omg I am terrible at this game it's so hard! LOL
