Really neat proof-of-concept. I was a bit disappointed after realizing there's only one level but I guess that's a good thing! The bone-pieces felt a bit of out place art-wise (not pixelated enough) and the movement was a bit too quick/hectic but those are nitpicks. Would love to see this expanded into a full game at some point.

How does your game fit the theme?
Created in 48 hours for the 2021 GMTK game jam with the theme of “Joined Together” and we immediately took to a protagonist that had to join them self together. Then we realized, why stop there? Why not have the character also be the solution! Hopefully the theme comes across as you play our little game. Currently only one level exists but we are working on more for future release!

Super clever idea with a huge potential! I'd love to see it in more levels. The game is very well polished, I like the simple art style.
Really simple and cool idea! I could definitely see how this game could be expanded on in other levels. You could even have different animal bones that give you other abilities such as flying or swimming once you've collected enough of them. Nice game!
A very cool game! I really liked the idea where a collectible resource improves the character and is used for environmental items at the same time. A very interesting resource management that can be a good core gameplay for a classic platformer or even metroidvania. There is only one lack - there is no browser version :)
Great work!
I love this concept. The game is very simple but the idea behind it is amazing. I'm assuming because of time you couldn't make more levels but if you did it would be great to see more consequences to using you bones with, for example, enemies or even dividing yourself into two so you can pass through small holes and then come back together afterwards. Just some ideas. Great idea overall and really nice art.
Congrats on getting in Mark's stream! This game is so slick. The animations are fantastic, the concept is fantastic, honestly I can't think of much bad to say about it. I feel challenged to use the least number of bridges possible, because I like being assembled, which is really cool design - it lets players choose their difficult level by either losing bones or doing more challenging platforming. The only disappointment here was that there weren't more levels. Finishing the first level, I was left wanting more! I would love to see this expanded into a full game.
Each level of skeleton completeness being different was a nice concept but I would've liked to see switching between the forms being used more like giving up bones on purpose to cross a gap a certain form can only cross. I also though the full skeleton form was a bit too slippery—maybe some acceleration from standing to full speed instead of hitting full speed instantly would help with correcting the movement.
very cool concept, art reminds me of down well and the game feel is also really god.
Funny! The bone collection sound is sooo satisfying and I'm loving the black & white pixel vibe, too.. I could do that all day. It reminded me of carrion, where you spend mass to do stuff. Clever.
the presentation is lovely and I like this concept a lot, too bad you guys didn't have enough time to make more. looking forward to seeing what's coming next for bonehead!
I really liked this game. I wanted more levels! The art and the animation is amazing. My Windows went crazy when I downloaded the game. I'm glad I managed to play.
The game looks really great. I liked the way the head worked. Jumping on 'P' is kinda unintuitive but thats fine. The fact that the bridge takes some time to actually get a hitbox made me reset the level once which kinda sucked but I guess I should have been more patient. Would be cool if there were more mechanics than just increase in Jump height for collecting more bones but thats how game jams go and for a game jam it really is a great game.
Loved the art and music. I dove straight into the game so didn't see the direction instructions on the main page so spent a while trying to figure out how to jump (P is a bit of a odd key choice). Given you had in world instructions for the making a bone bridge, adding one early on for the jump would have helped a lot there.
The idea of using up bones to make paths and the different sizes/abilities you could have at each level of bones is interesting in concept. I feel like this could lead to some interesting puzzles in future levels.
The only remaining comments are on the sound effect (bones rattling) being a little loud and can be annoying if you are stuck in that mode too long, and there is no indicator on how many bones are needed for the next level change.
Great job overall and again love the background music and pixel art style.
Art for the game is on point! Gameplay was fun as well! The only suggestion was I kept accidentally falling through the bridges because I kept forgetting that the animation had to finish before I could walk across. Maybe communicate that better? Idk.
I wish there were more levels! :)
