I made it to the end so I guess I'm a great trainer. Inner Pokemon trainer talking right there XD

That was good! The little creature looks charming! I was proud when it received a medal X).

Nice work dude! :)

Nice idea. I found the controls a bit imprecise, I think due to the fact you can't steer the alien too much mid-air, which made it tricky to avoid obstacles!

I like the idea of having to bring the pet safely first, then get yourself out of there.

I made it to the talent show! The platformer controlls were a bit fiddly and i think i won alot of stages in unintended ways using the momentum of jumps. Also it wasn't obvious to me at first that i had to get the pet to the portal first.

Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking of implementing some air-control for the pet, but when I was playtesting I thought it added a bit of depth to give the pet uncontrolled jumps; in at least one stage I was trying to set up the areas so that you had to chuck the pet to a safe spot on takeoff and then adjust your own trajectory to avoid fire pits.

The hazards were added in the last few hours of the jam; after this jam I think I can tune and expand these mechanics into something more substantial. My initial ideas also had moving hazards and platforms.

I like the art and the idea. I can tell you struggled somewhat with the implementation. The game is buggy and in need of refinement. Of course, in a 48-hour game jam, you ain't got time for that! So you definitely did well with the time constraint. Congratulations on making a game!
