How does your game fit the theme?
You're a robot. You need power to move. You can only get more power if you are "joined together" with a red socket.

Ummm yes to everything about this. Good idea good execution good ending. I can imagine lots more interesting things y'all could do with the mechanic. Awesome work!

The game is really fun to play and i like this clever idea :-)

Developer

Thanks :)

I am glad you liked it.
It was on the stream a few minutes ago. But unfortunately Mark didn't got to the level with the cool mechanics.

Soo, flippin cool, amazing implementation of an amazing concept and idea. Enjoyed playing this so much. Amazing Job =)

Developer

Thanks man! We had a fun time making this game. (Despite some bugs and issues along the way 🤣). We are really happy to hear you also enjoyed playing it. As we mentioned in other comments we'd love to implement some more levels in the future and also update the visuals and stuff.

Very fun idea, would love to see more! I feel like the speed boost from connecting to two power sockets was maybe a bit too fast but eh, maybe not. Neat ending!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing. We are really happy for all this nice feedback.
Yeah we had more levels an twists in mind for the game but we ran out of time in the end. The Boost was tweaked till it worked for the ramp. We ended up choosing a very high number and all the crates in that level were placed there to make a softer landing. But it didn't work out that well :D - we are still on it and probably will update the game after the jam ends. 😄

Insanely cool actually! I love needing power to go forward and actually connecting the power sockets to the green sockets. If anything I'd remap the level restart button to R or something cause I had to restart the game once to figure it out but I really loved this one! Super original and fun!

Developer(+1)

We discovered that most of the games used 'R' to reset the game. We also mapped the levelreset to R but during playtesting we hit R by accident quite often. 😅 so we changed it to 'delete'.

Thanks for playing and the feedback. Glad you liked it.

This is really cool. I love the concept of this terribly inefficient robot haha. The levels get pretty tricky and interesting!

Developer(+1)

Glad you like it.
Let us know If you have any suggestion to make it even more inefficient. 😁

We had some ideas for twists on the gameplay, like throwable extension cables.

Haha, this is a really cool concept. A lot of fun swinging your robot around corners without power, trying to get close enough to an outlet.

I kinda wish that W would move you forward instead of SPACE, but overall the controls work well.

Nice work!

Developer(+1)

Now that you mention it, we could have used 'W' 😯
But during playtesting we reserved 'W' for speeding through the levels.🤫

Thanks for playing our game!

Ah that makes sense. Like a fast-forward debug feature?

Anyway, awesome game, I'd love to see this project expanded on.
