Lots of potential, I feel with more story this could be a great game a la Papers please

aw man this looks so similar to what i envisioned in my head for one of the ideas i had during this jam!! i'm on mac tho :( wish i could play!
Sorry about that, some basic instructions to get you started are on the game's page : Hello, Operator by William Ha (itch.io)
There's a small tutorial/explainer in the game once you connect the flashing jack to the jack labelled "IN"
This is really cool! Super unique take on the theme. I can definitely see the papers please inspiration. I just wish it had music. I hope to see this fleshed out! Great job!
I like this! I agree with others that it could be extended into a full game, though I think if you were to do that, it'd have to be a bit more fast-paced and frantic, like Papers Please (which you mentioned as an inspiration). Also, is it supposed to stop if you connect the [s-SPOILER] to the [g-SPOILER]? For me it just kinda stops, like it let me move the cords around but no new calls came in.
There is some really great polish to this game! The aesthetic was there and fitting for how you took the theme of the jam. The gameplay was simple and easy to understand while also being pretty fun. I also love how you incorporated a small story into this as well, and the response when you hang up the person that asks to speaks to the general was pretty funny. You had a really well done tutorial, and the mood was very well established.
The only thing I would say is that I was a bit unsure what to do when I was assigned a number that was already in a call. The first time I disconnected them, and the penalty was expected. The second time though, I tried waiting until the call was finished but got a penalty (Probably because I was holding the cord when trying to click on it). However this isn't really much of a big deal, probably because I'm not good at understanding things haha.
This is a solid submission, good luck for the rest of the jam!
really well finished! the potential for humor/easter eggs is great haha
Wow!! Super extremely polished and the aesthetic is so cohesive and meshes super well together! Everything is super clean and I always love a game with a decent story/backstory! Enjoyed it lots! :D
Favorite game I've played so far in this jam, my only complaint is that it ends very abruptly. So good!!
Gosh, this is a incredibly well made game. Please after the jam ends keep developing it, I would love to keep playing it! Amazing.
Really, really like this concept. Really reminds me of papers please. With some more sound effects and more varied events, this really could turn into a full release. Nice job!
Love this game. The presentation is wonderful and I really like the Papers Please-esque decision making. I played for about five minutes though I could've done it for hours. I only wish it was fullscreen and that there were more decisions to make than the general and spy. Is there an end that I skipped out on or is it endless? Either way it's great fun
I didn't know I needed this. Redirecting callers was strangely thrilling. Probably because the atmosphere hits just right in this one!
This looks great from the photos but I get an error when I try to run it
