Really impressive level of polish, but having to flip through menus every time you restart is frustrating. Also, having to start from the beginning instead of the current screen really kills the pace of what could be an amazing breakneck-meatboy-style game.

You can revive by pressing the use button (K/X on keyboard or X on gamepad)

Oh, you're totally right, sorry I missed that. Having to restart from the beginning is still a tidge frustrating, but having the ability to restart quickly deserves a few more points. :)

I got stuck way too many times

Definitely more on the challenging (not to say, frustrating) side, but I guess that this is on purpose. Really gets your heart pounding, running through the level, unable to stop, risking getting hit every time you try to switch directions.

The hit detection maybe could use some more fine tuning. Sometimes it felt as I was hit by the ball when it shouldn’t have. Maybe it actually did hit the player, but in those situations, it felt a bit unjustified and overly punishing. But overall an interesting and challenging mechanic

I like the filing and generally the visuals. And the idea is nice!

This one is really hard. But that is great. It has this speedrun charme where you have to try over and over again to find the perfect way and that feels pretty rewarding in my opinion.

I had the idea that you could build in some "checkpoints" so you can explore and find your way first, but to finish the whole level you have to disable the checkpoints and make it in one try. Controls felt great, its just a little hard at the moment. I really like it!

Wow, very challenging gameplay, and the mechanics and idea are really good too!

Very difficult, but cool concept. Couldnt get all the keys, when you should wraparound after falling down the first time, i can't get up to the platform. Nice Art/sounds tho!

Submitted(+1)

Had a lot of fun at the start but it got a bit more frustrating for the 2nd set of keys: not sure if you can jump up to one of the platforms but after dozens of tries I kept falling short.
I'm bad at quick reactions though so that doesn't help ^^;
Honestly though, the concept is great and well-excecuted, I only wish I wasn't so bad at it XD

So hard! It's an interesting concept, but damn it's punishing.

Game feels nice to play and I love it! I agree with some of the other comments about respawning closer or making it a bit easier at the start, otherwise it's great!

There is a word: "You are what you eat." But for that you might say: "You are who you were killed by."

Dude I super love your game, even though I keep getting smashed by the ball ——and I even smile when I get smashed. It's very humorous but also very reasonable .

The idea of dragging the ball forward is really interesting, at the moment there seems to be a lot of design flaws, but I believe future versions can fix these well.

Very much looking forward to the full version.

Great presentation, the art is very consistent. For those having difficulty with the controls, I 100% recommend plugging in a gamepad (my enjoyment level increased increased dramatically after I did).

One thing to consider is having a slightly gentler difficulty curve by having the ball follow you slowly in the beginning, then faster as you pick up orbs. Also I think it might be nice to have the player respawn move to a little further into the level with each orb collected. Getting reset all the way to the beginning when you're on orb 3 is a little brutal.

The only place where thought the game was a little too punishing (like in an unfair way) was in the 3rd orb room. The height of the wall jump is just a little hard to nail and the margin of error is so so small. I think lowering the wall here a fraction would dramatically improve the feel of this obstacle.

Super impressive overall!

Looks really good! I couldn't finish it due to obvious bad skills on my end haha, but I enjoyed it :)

Controls are ok, but I just keep getting killed again and again. One thing is setting the bar high, one thing is making it impossible to survive the second room. Great art and presentation, but the main mechanic needs a rework.

Submitted(+1)

Great presentation, but couldn't figure out how to get past the second room. It looks like an awesome mechanic you've built up but maybe because of bugs or unclear instructions the ball kept killing me no matter what I did or how quickly I tried to run away from it. It looks super interesting though and would love to try it again sometime

I like the concept of the game. The art and audio are really well fit to the game. I'm not really sure of the goal to the game though, as I kept dying by the ball hitting me too much. Sometimes when it hits me I die but other times I don't? which is a little weird. But otherwise, I think if better explained, the game has a lot of potential, great work!
