Great game. I love It.

I would be very happy if you would play my game.

Developer

Tanks for the reply! I'll sure try out your game a bit later.

That was great! Loved the text throughout the levels providing a narrative and the second set of levels had some good puzzles!

Developer

Really glad you liked it! The first set is kind of an introduction to the mechanics, so it doesn't have so many 'puzzles', the second set is where the fun begins.

I found this game a lot of fun, I love the mechanic and the art style. The puzzle levels make it more interesting. Good game!

One of my favorite ideas yet from this jam. The art was simple and it had a lot of quirkiness to it. Execution could have been better as the physics were wonky in some areas

I had a bunch of fun playing this!

The weight of the ball felt great, especially when dragging it around. The different mechanics introduced where nice and added well to the main mechanic.

Art style + animations and sounds were great! The end of level chime felt a bit too loud compared to the rest of the sounds in the game.

Nice job!

Fun game, well implemented mechanic and amazing presentation. Can feel a little bit clunky at times but otherwise great job!

Developer

I was going to polish it a bit more but life got in the way by the end of the jam... Happy you liked it though!

Lovely game! As others have said the the ball and its weight and how you really needed to use the connection was very well implemented! Funny thing is that my favorite part might be how you are unable to jump while carrying the ball, such a simple yet really clever thing to do that for some reason really tied together the mechanics for me! Geart job dude! :D

The not being able to jump while carrying the ball came naturally when I was making levels. It seemed so obvious and added so much depth that I couldn't believe I didn't think of it before. Glad you enjoyed it!

Cool! I could really feel the weight of the ball.  Incredible amount of content for a jam game. Well done!

I love this game

Brilliant work! Had lot of fun playing. The feel of throwing the heavy ball and you getting flung with it's inertia is amazing!  Great work in a short time! Maybe you could share how you implemented the chain and simulated the heavy ball sometime?

Developer

They were actually really simple since I used Unity but needed a bit of fiddling. I attached every chain link, the player and the ball with spring joints and after messing with the configuration of both the joints and the rigidbodies I got them to a point which I liked, even though the chains can stretch a bit. I usually work as a programmer and this game had a surprisingly low amount of code. That helped so that I could do more of the other stuff, especially since it was my first time making audio.

Excellent game and an impressive amount of quantity for such a short jam. I've played through all of it, the main game and the extra levels. The narrative going over the stages is very charming, I was super curious to see what would happen in the next stage. Amazing work, congratulations!

Developer

I appreciate your reply! I was going to make some more levels but life got in the way by the second day of the jam.

I loved the idea and simplistic look of it, Good job :)

Very well made game, the art style is so minimalistic and that makes it look kinda cute, audio is not bad either and the level design is very good. Most importantly it's FUN. Good job

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad to hear that my audio is somewhat good because it was my first time making any music/sfx!

I played this yesterday and HAD to come back to comment because the "Where's an Egg" minimalistic bit art really got me to lol.

excellent puzzle design !

you nailed the heavy object in a chain feeling.

level design is great, with clever mechanics around the main theme. And the way you gradually introduced new challenges was very well done.

visuals and sounds are minimalistic in a way that looks good and fit the game. Great polish overall!

Developer

Thanks! I went through a few iterations of how the ball and chain would feel and still think it needed a few tweaks but am glad that you liked it!

yeah it's a tricky thing to get it right, but I think you did an amazing job with it, especially for such a short amount of time.

Love the minimalist look and gameplay mechanic.

Wow I love the animation and minimalist design in this so much! Everything has so much style!

I have been in the vibe to make a grayscale game with a bit of color lately so I'm glad you enjoyed the art!
