The design of the cells and parasite is absolutely lovely. The mechanics took a while to get used to, but as soon as those clicked, it kind of felt like top-down web swinging. I found it really fun just swinging from target to target (and sucking out their life force of course). I think it would be even more interesting, if the cells had different movement and ai patterns, instead of just charging the player.

I suck a bit haha , anyways this game was amazing- the soundtrack , art style ,gameplay and the idea... rating 15/15

Developer

Thank you! I let the musicians know, it's a good idea thank you!

Was fun :)  I only got a score of 4600.  I really liked the art style.

Developer

Thank you!

Really enjoyed this!! The in-game art is really nice and playful and the cover art is amazing. It took me a sec to realize that I could use two tentacles based on right-click/left-click, but once I got that down, I had a bunch of fun. Also loved the music!!

Developer

Thank you very much! Yes indeed it's not clear you can use both Mouse clics, my bad, I'll update the control picture on the page in  a bit ^^"

this was a really interesting interpretation of the theme! i think the controls could have been explained better but once i got the hang of it it became pretty fun.

This took me a few minutes to figure out, but once I did, it was very fun! A few attempts after my run of 25400, the enemy spawn rate decreased until it dropped to nothing, which killed me as you need other cells to leech of off to survive. My other complaint is that the enemies can go through corpses, but the player can't, which led to the map filling up with them and me getting cornered by corpses I'd created.

Overall, I love the game, including the game design, zippy movement, art, and music. Great submission!

Developer

the corpses were sort of meant to make the game harder over time, but i agree that it's not perfectly balanced yet. Thanks so much for the feedback!

I really liked the title screen and art. was it handdrawn? But I didnt get the goal tbh.

Developer

Hey! Thanks a lot, yes it is handdrawn =). The goal is to survive as long as possible, player loses life and needs to leech off enemies to heal itself.

This game was a lot of fun! It took me a bit of time to figure out, I was only using one mouse at first, but once I got the hang of it I had a blast speeding around the map, destroying all the cells. The artstyle is bright and fun, and the music is really catchy and adds to the overall game. I managed to get a high score of 8400, and would absolutely play more of it! Great job.

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much!! Also well done for getting 8400!

The art style and soundtrack are really cute! However, even after reading the instructions and playing a few games, I still didn't really understand how to play the game. I understand the wasd movement, so is the arrow to drain the cells? Is there a way I can regain my health? Is there a credit or menu that I can be redirected to, and how do I exit out of the game without refreshing the entire browser to reach the homepage?

Keep up the great work!

maybe I'll update the page more then with a better description. But the idea is to be a parasite and drain health from the other cells. If you are not tethered you take damage. Credits are on the itch page. And currently there is no way to get back to there main menu without refreshing, but the same info is on the itch page below the game.

Excellent game! it didn't feel unfair and movement was good. I'd play a battle arena of this game was 100 player! So much potential!

It feels so good when you are dodging the enemies! hahah and the sound is great! Nice game!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Nice game. Not sure if the enemies behave differently! Even if they do, it would be cool to make them more distinct in terms of gameplay.

Developer

Agreed. They have very minor differences, we ran out of time adding different abilities to each.
Thanks!

The game is beautiful and sounds great :O making all of that in 48h is just incredible :)

Very cool game !

Developer

Thanks for playing ! Excited to check out your game!

I'm sick right now so this is pretty appropriate lol. Really nice art and cool music too! It was pretty tricky with the floaty controls but you are kinda floating around in a cell so it makes sense :D

Developer

Thank you for playing! Hope you'll get better =)

The art is amazing, I love the detail in the background, takes me back to middle school science class! The game plays great and I love that I can attach to two things at once.  It gets difficult quickly when more stuff spawns! I love it, great job :)

Developer

Thanks so much!
