I liked the game, but it glitched and nothing worked, :( I really liked the game though.

Developer

Hey Duckigi, did you try to play the web build or the windows build? We've not had any problems with it elsewhere, but Unity webgl games can get stuck for seemingly no reason at times. I've also noticed it can take a short while to load occasionally as well. Thanks for the feedback!

Developer

If it was the web build, if you're interested in trying again, you can try refreshing the page if it gets stuck, doesn't load or anything like that.

ok thanks

Love this concept, and the art feels really stylised!

My only complaint is that the actual platforming itself feels a little clunky at times.

Developer

Hey, we're glad you love the concept and art! Which part of the platforming feels clunky? The physics system, specific abilities, or something else? Thanks for the feedback :)

Submitted(+1)

I'm not quite sure, it's hard to put my finger on.

I think colliding with the side of platforms just looked a bit funky at times? and controlling the character while in the air just felt a little off. Sorry I can't really provide more specifics!

Developer(+1)

All good, that still helps a lot. Thank you! :)

Very well thought idea. Making movements tied to other character usually makes the game about looking at two screens and desync usually mean you play in turns. However combining the two mechanics together leads to many interesting interactions and player choices! I love it, great job :)

Developer

Glad you liked it, Dipzza!

Nice concept and implementation. The level design needs more work for more clever moments where we have to enable one and disable the other. Also in the first level, towards the end, if both the characters are on the ground then we get stuck as none of the characters can move anywhere. Great job!

Developer

Hey Aditya Nigam, thanks for the feedback! We were unaware of the part where people could get stuck at the end of level 1 until after the end of the development time. The level design definitely needs some work as you said, but we're glad you liked it :)

Submitted(+2)

Awesome idea! I had a bit of trouble figuring out what was happening, but after that it was a nice experience!

Developer(+1)

Hey erSt people having trouble right at the beginning seems to be a common trend that we've made note of. Thanks for the feedback :)

Super awesome original idea with clever mind bending platforming puzzles! I love how the music was tied to which character you were controlling. The idea behind using your position in the "other" world to affect both character was super well executed and once you get in the rhythm of how to change between both it opens up amazingly! <3 Congrats on this! I am also a big fan of the art !!

Developer

Hey ChrisAP, we're glad you enjoyed the game! Thanks for the review :)

I've seen this mechanic before but most of the time you have a lot less control over what your character can do, usually you can't deliberately de-sync them. This is the first time I've seen a game like this where it feels like there's multiple solutions, which I really like.

Also, the two music tracks together thing is really neat.

Developer

Hey kylebyte, thanks for streaming our game! It was awesome getting live feedback from watching you play. The first two levels were designed to be more in-sync to help teach mechanics, but that could've been communicated a lot better by us in-game. The last two levels were designed to be more de-sync heavy. Those two design principles might've caused that feeling of less control, since you spent a lot more time on the first two levels on stream. That's something we definitely made note of, so it was awesome to get to see that play out. Having multiple puzzle solutions is really cool for us as well.

Thanks again for streaming our game. If you plan on streaming other jam games, I highly encourage you to do so. Your feedback was really helpful to us, and I think others would love the feedback as well. I shared the vod with my team a little bit ago, I'm sure they'll appreciate it too :)

Developer

PS: Watching your brute force solution to level 3 was really entertaining, I still haven't seen anyone else do it like that yet.

Submitted(+3)

Really really cool, despite the movement being a bit clunky at times, the puzzles blew me away! Well done!

Developer

We're glad you liked it nardandas! We've thought a lot about the movement and have some stuff in mind that could've been done different after getting a bunch of feedback. Thanks for your review!

It's a bit difficult to work out what's going on at times, but, once you get it there's some really cool stuff you guys are doing here. Nice job!

Thanks for the feedback!

I think that this game is a very interesting take on the trope of controlling two characters at once. The desync mechanic makes for some really neat puzzles, and I also liked how the music toggled depending on which characters were being controlled - it's a nice touch! Overall, great game!

Developer

Hey pynl, we're glad you liked our approach to controlling two characters at once. We've found that syncing and desyncing the characters to has led to multiple solutions to some of the puzzles being possible, which is really cool! Thanks for the feedback :)

Wow what a neat concept. took some time to get used to but was real fun. I loved the level select. Maybe have a hint about the multi direction dash ;) great music too!

Developer(+2)

Hey Simpathey, thanks for playing our game on stream, it was great to see live gameplay and feedback! I learned a lot of small, subtle things from watching your playthrough. In the first level, it encourages a straight dash. So, if I were to do a redesign, I think I would keep that, then add one or two other parts after that required (or at least, heavily encouraged) a diagonal dash. I think that would help players understand that the dash works in more than one direction, and could encourage them to experiment with it and learn the rest on their own.

I hadn't considered that the level select would be helpful if anyone got stuck and wanted to play other parts of the game. But in hindsight, I'm glad we included it so more people can try all of the levels if they want to.

I think positive reactions to the music has been one of our most universal, positive compliments. We're really glad everyone likes it, it's an awesome part of the experience!

Thanks again for streaming everything, watching everything live was awesome and we learned a lot about what could be done differently from watching you play. Keep doing what you're doing, we really appreciate it!

A good take on a mechanic of controlling two characters at once that many people explored in this game jam. I like your version especially as it is fresh and allows for a lot of interesting experimentation, good job!

Developer(+1)

Hey Kenjik, we're glad you liked our take on controlling two characters at once. Giving so much control to the player with the two characters was an important part of our level design process. Thanks for the feedback!

Developer

We're glad it felt like a fresh take! We found that giving the player control over which character was active felt fun to us, so we're glad you enjoyed that as well!

Submitted(+2)

Very nince and fun. Took awhile to get controls going, but liked the consept a lot :) Great work

Developer

Thanks Honk1n, we had fun making it!

Developer

Tysm! Glad you enjoyed the mechanic (:

Submitted(+1)

While to took me a while to understand the main mechanic, I has superfun exploring them. Especially the last few levels. It's a great use of the theme, with several ways to connect both sides. I see several ways to expand the design from here!

Developer

Glad you liked it, Geoodees! When you're referring to the "main mechanic", are you referring to pressing the "1" and "2" buttons to turn the screens on and off, or something else? Thanks for the feedback :)

Submitted(+1)

That each side had different abilities to focus on.

Developer

Got it, that makes sense. That definitely could've been communicated better in the tutorial level. Thanks for the reply!
