Really creative idea, one of the best games with this concept I’ve seen! Super original, and great artwork and sound too. Great work!
Fantastic art. Amazing platform / puzzler. The last checkpoint puzzle area took me like 5-10 minutes to solve before I finally got it. All around, this was an amazing game. I have no criticisms, you should be proud of what you created :)
Really fun puzzler/ platformer, a really great use of the theme to make something that is not frustrating but really enjoyable! I think some of the puzzles could be slightly frustrating when you had to reset all your progress once you respawn, but most of them were really creative and interesting to solve. Overall a really great game with a lot of polish and beautiful art, great job!
Well made game with nice pixel art and and particle effects. The game is very polished so its shortness is too much of a problem. By the way, the game we made for the jam has an almost identical name to your game.
Graphics, sounds and animations were amazing. Controls were responsive, and the game proved to be challenging yet fun! I love this concept, and you've executed it very well. Reminded me a little bit of Celeste.
This is a really clever idea, and the execution is also very well made. Graphics and sounds are also top notch. Well done!
I played this game in this video here (21:54):
I really enjoyed the game, it's nice looking, it's clever and it's challenging enough not to be boring. Great checkpoint system and nice puzzle/obstacles design.
One thing I would change for sure would be the game name! It's the one thing that kept me from playing this one for quite a while, so I only got to it yesterday I think. While the title matches the game really well, it's a twist on very common game name in this jam - but maybe that won't be an issue in post jam version if you decide to do one :)
Yeah, I had a hard time settling on a name that clearly represents the game, so I defaulted to this ! I don’t know how changing it will impact the exposure of the game, so I’ll try to change the name only after the jam.
I just found a list of interesting words so who am I to blame :D.
5/5, really polished and really fun. I really wish I could play more of it :o it's a really clever puzzle mechanic, and I think you could make a commercial game out of this.
Really cool mechanic, really cool art, really cool game!
splendid game!
i dont have much to say about it, except that pretty much everything about it was awesome!
This is an awesome, challenging platformer with an amazing look and great level design! Fantastic job, this is easily one of the best games of the jam! I hope you consider continuing the game afterwards, I'd love to play more of it!
This is a really clever idea of interpreting Out of Control, by also making every control have two states, and by this, also two double the use cases! Great job!
PS. The graphics looks really smooth.
Original idea, which stays quite simple at its core, but offers some interesting enough gameplay. I would be curious to see how far you could get with this (a NPC stealing my control cube and going away with it ?). The art is also nice by the way.
The level design is quite limited and short, but you managed to prove the concept quite well !
When I'm holding a cube into the world (drag&drop but without releasing the mouse click), I would expect the camera to stay centered on the cube I think, so that it's easier to prepare the cube, jump, drop it, without the cube being moved at the same time of the camera.
Outstanding, very well done. The concept is original and the player character's animations are a delight.
Very cool concept and I'd love to see it polished up a bit more with a smoother learning curve. I set git to watch releases on your repo, so if you use the release system I should get notified later ;)
Really like the game! The idea is great =) I only miss some button to restart from the checkpoint when I mistake a jump, because I can't walk back XD
Ahh the unique concept, the fluid animation, the reactive input! I think I'm in love with this one.
Out of all the games the games in this jam that change how the player character controls, this one might just be my favorite! The fact that you can get your controls back does negate some of the difficulty, but only because it isn't as frustrating if you made a mistake in placement and want to make small changes. Everything else of course is also really excellent, well done!
More content? Then I should keep my eye on that Github. It was a great play. There's definitely room to expand the idea. Also, superb art!
