How does your game fit the theme?
You play as a fox with a pocket snake. The snake acts as a hookshot and can also kill enemies, but you have no control over when it shoots. Use WASD to control the character and use the mouse cursor to aim the snake.

Wow, love the character design, I can see this being on a saturday morning kids show or game series.

I loved this!  The art is wonderful, and slingshotting around is really fun.  Maybe add kills and time on the main screen instead of waiting until you lose to see how you're doing?

Keep up the great work! =)

What a charming game! The art is lovely. I really like how the snake is both a great way to move around and a weapon.

Each time you attack, you usually end up in danger. Every time I told myself "wow, I'm going to destroy all these enemies with just one shot" but then I killed one and got hit by the rest. It would be awesome if with all the velocity you could smash through nearby targets, not just the ones you hit. I wonder how that would feel. But I still really liked the game. Very nicely done!

So cute! I loved, music is also very nice, we can hear when the loop goes, a little tweak on that would be perfect, but very nice!

Absolutely adorable! I wish there was a way I could kill the enemies without getting a lot damage myself by waiting there,  or even have the wait for the snake be a bit faster, but thats a personal opinion. I think it's a fun game with a lot of potential! If you add more to it after the jam I would love to play!

Oh! Oh! I feel like I recognize the artist! I love their work!

What a cute and cool game! Congratulations on completing the gamejam guys!

I was kinda slinging doe. Nice art

Besides having an adorable artstyle, just the concept alone has so much potential! Gameplay could definitely use a bit more polish, but I do love a good dual-purpose mechanic! I'd really like to see a post-jam version of this game.

Good Game one of the best I've played so far.   I actually  wanted to keep playing but more games must be rated.

Adorable looking characters!  Love the little snake friend. Nicely done!

I like the cartoonish artstyle! The game has decent and basic platformer controls, although the jump could be a bit faster and snappier and the gravity was a bit too low IMO. Really neat snake mechanic for both attack and mobility! Great use of an otherwise grapple hook like mechanic. Overall a good game and a solid entry!

love the art and mechanics~

The art is great!  the snake-grappling hook mechanic feels great as well.

Charismatic characters, and interesting mechanics ... But I could perform better. It has potential!

The game looks great, but positioning yourself in order to defeat the enemies without taking damage proved to be frustratingly janky, and ends up putting me in the left corner because of the attack angle. The snake charge bar appears way too late to make use of, and the platforms seem too spaced out to actually use. The music could've also done with some better instrumentation, it screams MIDI.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! You can actually control where the snake goes using the mouse cursor. It should make aiming a lot easier. I apologize for not putting in the controls instructions earlier!

The snake mechanic feels very good.

The character design is super cute, and the walking and platforming control well enough (no overshooting or stickiness). However the high degree of randomness prevented me from getting more than 3 platforms up. Is it supposed to be an endless climb?

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! There's a ceiling at the top, and it should be fairly easy to reach with proper aiming. I forgot to write in the control scheme earlier, so I'm not sure if you were using the mouse to aim the snake. Apologies for forgetting!

Submitted

Oh, I thought the snake direction was random too.

I liked this game, the art is cute. It made me think this should be a scene in a webcomic. The gameplay didn't click at first but once I understood the idea, I was having fun swinging around

Note - I wasn't sure how to answer the pre-existing audio question because the music is entirely composed by me, but the sound effects are pre-existing.
