It's. Too. Tiny. That's the biggest problem, there's way too much happening on screen and it's almost impossible to keep up with anything. This game's visual style would work for a city simulation game, but not one where you control a character only a few pixels tall trying to get to places. I feel like I'm staring inside an ant farm. I do like the idea of having to manage a city when you have to physically go around the place, but the execution could have been so much more palatable.
Thanks for your feedback! Guess youre right :D I think if we'd change nothing but zoom in a little and have the camera follow the player, it would already be more approachable. We wanted to have the whole city visible at all times, and did just that. I "finished" minuets before the deadline, and we didnt get to iterate on the product of our work much or verify that what we have works. The submited version is a little underwhelming, but we see some potential there and will work for a few more days on it in the coming weeks. the UI is based on the city visible at all times, and i think the ant-colony-effect could be a feature, if we were to highlight the important bits a bit more. Not yet sure what we do yet, i need a break :) This was our first jam, team of 3 were one guy had to immediately leave and of the remaining two i was the only one experienced in unity, so the shedule was very tight for us, for me as a programmer especially. Goal was to try to create smth playable in 48h, and well i guess thats questionable but im glad we did it, even tho i have mixed feelings about the submission.
Actually, there is no audio 🙈
