Liked the cute MS Paint style cutscene, and the gameplay was fun. My only real complaint is that you chose really terrible colors for the time bar for those of us with red-green colorblindness. Next time I'd recommend using (more) dramatically different luminosity (brightness) between the colors whatever color they are.

Developer

thanks for the feedback. i will definetly change the colors.

Great game feel, it was satisfying to play. With better visual, I could totally see myself play this on my phone.

It plays better than expected (thought it was going to be seriously out of control), there are a lot of blind jumps though and kind of need to just repeat the level a few times. Nice intro at the start. Very fun!

pretty fun game, well done

Autorunning platformer with a dash of Sonic! Interesting take on the theme and interesting concept! Keep it up :-)

Loved to play it, I've always loved this kind of racing platformers with obstacles!

Loved it! Kept playing for a long time! Love the tilt to realign the car mechanic. But, it's impossible when it's flipped upside down!

Yeah that was fun :)

That was one of the most fun games of the jam! It's like a better version of rider. Great job!

This was fun! You should try and get in procedural content generation - making something that could generate levels for you could make this really interesting. I also like the sound effect of the high score going up - it's a little thing that adds a lot.

i was going to add random level generation. but i had no time to do that in 48 hours. but i will probably make a non jam version of the game with random level generation.

That was funny. I did find level 3 to be quite difficult to complete though, with all the ramps and loops and such.

This is a pretty fun game. I think you executed on your plan very well and fulfilled the theme of the game jam.

Damn that astetic tho! Really satifying to play when you get into it, I'd make the boost have more impact tho, cause I got kinda stuck at certain points due to lack of momentum.

Nice job! Very fun and cool game for 48-hour gamejam!

Cool game! I wish the tracks are a bit more smooth since it's a bit to jaggy for my taste, but the gameplay is fun and the aesthetic is nice!

I like how the character is worried about the breaks not working ant not the fact that he's literally driving through fcking hell hahah. Nice job!, a sonic-car spin off, all every sonic fan wanted! haha. Nice job! Congrats on the game, is really dope

Simple fun stunt platformer, I kinda miss a reason to actually have wanted the brakes you don't have though :P

Developer (1 edit)

but what does that have to do with anything. would the game be more fun if you wanted brakes? in my opinion wanting something in a game that isnt there is just worse i guess. but i dont know lol ¯ \_(ツ)_/¯.

I mean, for how much it was emphasized that you don't have breaks, there wasn't a second that I actually had to consider not having breaks. Losing balance was more of a reason to get out of control than the lack of breaks. So I'd think, rather than limiting the use boost, make it so powerful that you want to limit it's usage to not go too fast, then you'd start to miss the brakes.
