I love chess and that maybe weighs on my rating but I love this idea and execution!

Nice concept but if your not familiar with chest rules is a little hard.

Cool game! For the sake of helping players, especially those who have never played chess, please add visuals which show where a certain chess piece can move (at least the one which player controls). You could just color the clickable tiles differently (use a blue color?) :)

I love chess, and the design was super awesome! I was just a little confused on how the AI moved, especially since they would divert from their red-square path if you were in a killing position. Super fun to play though!

A really interesting concept, I can see myself playing many times.

Great game this was fun

Smart game! I don't usually say that to jam games, but yeah, we could use a little more polish and player feedback, it feels very naked right now !

From a programming point of view, this is really impressive!  I'm sure this was not easy to build.  I agree with the rest of the comments here that it lacks feedback and presentation.  But it's rather impressive, and I like the idea.

Nice concept, has a potential of being a complex head-scratching puzzle adventure game. But we need to talk about player feedback (or watch a video of GMTK) as there is none in this game. And when players don't get response to their actions they don't know what's good and bad in your game and it makes the game feel lifeless.

A clever spin on the concept, well done

Clever stuff. Not bad at all.

This is pretty cool. I like how it shows you where the enemy piece will move, assuming you don't get in its way, so you can plan where to move on the next turn.

Also, both our games have the exact same name!

Idea is great!

There is some serious feedback issue (was not clear that the black square were walls, that I would get eaten if I got in its path, etc), but the potential is amazing.

Keep up the good work :D
