love the idea!

Pretty neat art! But I have some trouble with recognising when enemy hits me.

Great looking game and good, working gameplay. Music sounds good but perhaps the guitar could sound a little more chaotic to fit the atmosphere.

The enemies are fun to kill with the heavy feeling arm but some squishy sound of killing them with the arm would sound very fun. Also it felt quite uneven how many enemies, where and when they would come. After a big wave, there could come just one of them and it kills the multiplier streak. I would have preferred a standard wave system of enemies increasing overtime consistently. I would have liked for the pistol to have more impact too, it didn't feel very useful as it felt like you can just use the arm. Maybe the enemies could come faster to you at some point in the game so you need to knockback them more? I did very much like the chaotic feeling of the arm starting to lose total control!

Thanks for playing! The enemy count does increase over time, but it is random which side they come from, which can lead some of them to clump together. You can keep the multiplier by hitting the ground. You don't need to hit the enemies as long as you don't attack yourself. The pistol was meant to time the arm better, so if an enemy came and the timing was bad, you could push it back to get better timing. Thanks for the feedback though! We will keep all of it in mind if we work more on it!

Okay, I didn't realize that about the multiplier thing. That certainly does work well. Good job!

Thank you!! glad you liked it!

Fantastic artwork, great soundtrack, tight platforming gameplay where controls was a little hard to grasp but when I got the hang of it it was really fun! Seems like standing in the same spot is a safer choice though, maybe something to encourage the player to move around?

Developer

Thanks for playing, and I'm glad you enjoyed it! We thought about adding health packs or something on top of the buildings to encourage movement, but we didn't have time :( We also didn't have time to make a proper interactive tutorial, and forgot to introduce the gun (right click if you missed it). We will definitely improve it in the future. Thanks for the feedback!

How did you manage to make such a beautiful game? And it's not just the game itself, but the art and music are put together so well. The musical arrangements were on point and complemented the art and the whole game experience. Also, a good execution of the theme, liked it. Though, maybe you can help players in the beginning with more tutorials and smoother learning curve? But once you get it, the game becomes enjoyable, great job!

thank you for playing, and glad you enjoyed it! We only just managed to get it finished. The last drawing was literally implemented 1 minute before the deadline! We know the tutorial could have been a lot better. That is also what I like the least about the game. We just ran out of time, and needed to create something quickly. We didn't have time to introduce the gun for example. But Thanks for the feedback! I think we will be working more on the game, so we will definitely improve the tutorial / learning curve!

Glad to hear that, good luck with future updates and games :)

damn this was soooo hard! Good fun though.

Developer

glad you enjoyed it once you figured it out! Yeah, a lot of people say, that the tutorial could be improved, and I agree. We just didn't have the time to make a proper interactive tutorial :( Thanks for the feedback! We will definitely improve the tutorial in the future!

Quite an enjoyable little game, does need a little bit more content. Would love to see further updates for it!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Watching your stream was really helpful, because it made me realise, that we need to write, that the arm attacks towards the mouse. We didn't have time to make a proper tutorial, and we also forgot to write about the gun :( Thanks for the feedback!

Very impressive! The art and animations look great, and the music is awesome. It's rare to hear actual instrumental music in jam games, I did the same for my game but I'm not very good at guitar yet so it sounds off.

The gameplay is clean and pleasant, though it takes a while to get used to the arm.

Great submission overall :)

The music immediately hooked me into the western aesthetic, and I loved it. It had a cool aliens and cowboys thing going on. The art was also very well done! Gameplay was smooth a juicy too, and having to regain control of the arm was fun!

My only piece of feedback would be to make it more obvious that you choose which direction to attack with the mouse. I was confused for a bit as to why I wasn't attacking the way I was facing. It took a few runs before I noticed the gun arm following the mouse, and figured out the alien arm did too. Maybe having the entire character flip to face the mouse would more easily get this point across?

But hey, if I only have feedback on tutorial type stuff, the game is still great! Nice work!

Really appreciate it dude, super glad you liked it! Yeah we planned on adding a tutourial level to properly explain it all, but we ran out of time haha :P Good idea to have the character flip to face the cursor!

Pretty enjoyable and well thought-out. I like how the gun can be used for knockback when the arm is too slow.

Thanks man! Glad you liked it. Also your name sounds a bit like attempting to say "john snow" with a speech impediment, and that was pretty funny, thanks for a good laugh! :D

I really enjoy the concept! It was a lot of fun. Also made me realize how little the position of wasd I remember from the screen prompts alone.

The game looks great, but I found that the vast majority of my time was spent staring at the gauge at the bottom. I didn't pay as much attention to the level, background, or the bar at the top. Also, I didn't feel very motivated to jump to higher levels. Either way, I think this is a neat game!

Thanks for playing, Riley! And that's some very good feedback, so thanks for that too :D

Super tight package, very high quality graphics and animation. Gameplay is very simple and polished, like something that could be used as a starting point for a bigger game. Very well done!

Thanks a lot Hannibal! We Appreciate it, thanks for taking the time to play :D
