Simple but fun! I really like the sprites but I feel like they don't convey how to use the given ability that great which is fine given that there's a tutorial at the beginning. My one suggestion is to add a meter to show how much longer the ability will last and maybe what the next ability will be.

Pretty simple game, but well executed. The changing mechanics set a nice pacing to the game, and the art is pretty cute.
Perhaps lack a feedback to tell when the character will change emotion, perhaps on the emotion FX itself (like the flame getting less strong when approaching the change for example.
Also, the rainbow mode is cool to go crazy, but intuitively I didn't think about rushing into the books while in this mode, perhaps just because the visual for this emotion doesn't look very "aggressive".

Nice game! It looked cartoony and friendly and I like the context given for the mechanics (Being "out of control" of your emotions).

One thing I really liked was how you moved a bit faster when disarmed. It's a little feature but it really helps with you not feeling like a sitting duck while being unable to attack.

This is a lot of fun. Didn't really get how the game worked at first, but I restarted and got it that time. I like the story context, and the movement controls are nice and responsive. Well done!

Very good game! I really like it! There is really no critique I can give, except that the idea is a bit uninspired, but it has a better execution than many other random attack swaping games! Good job my friend, this is a 5-star game definitely!

Also it made me laugh so 5-star either way...

This game cracked me up hahah. Enjoyed playing it. Well done!

Nice colorfull art, relatable topic aswell haha. I also like that all the abilities are different from eachother so thy each have their own playstyle. Howevr there was to my belief no way to tell when the ability would switch, which made it harder to predict when the rainbow effect was running out, resulting in me getting damaged. Overall nice game with a nice small scope.

very enjoyable! I would say if you wanted to improve it - a better sense of feedback would be good but it's really well made for 48hrs! well done! I'm bad at it, I only scored 41 haha

That was fun, got to 86. Could probably last a little longer now that i know the mechanics better, but it seems like an interesting idea. Had a hard time distinguishing some sound effects, I'd hear some of them and think I was getting hit when I wasn't which threw me off some. Overall quite nice, you didn't go for something too ambitious for the time limit and it paid off in execution.

Had a lot of fun with the rainbow dash emotion. Wasn't sure what the controls were at first but they all seemed to be pretty intuitive. Wasn't quite sure how to use the crying emotion. Overall not a bad experience

The crying would leave a pool of deadly tears after moving some distance :D.  Thanks for comment :)

Ah upon further inspection I see that the books are dying when they touch the puddles. I guess I just didn't notice when I originally played

Developer

Yea, it could use some improvements, but tthat's why I called them deadly :p

Great job!

love the concept, I wish there was a rating category for relatable. Well done!

An interesting game! The text was a tad bit hard to read, but I turned on high contrast mode on windows to fix it! The storyline was neat and the idea for the game was very good! The use of emotions show some really touching effects on morals!

A really fun game. I really like the concept too!

Fun little experience, the art is good, but I would change the color of the text at the beggining, since at some parts I wasnt able to see it properly. Gameplay is fun and addicting, I would put a timer, that would show you for how long you are going to change emotion somewhere, since I happened to bump into enemies right when the "dash" emotion ended (it has great looking effect btw). Overall it s  nice experience, great job :)

The dash looks cool and feels good when you get out quickly with it to a safer spot.

Art looks good.

Very fun/hectic. Thought it was hilarious how you implemented managing emotions as part of the "out of control" XD Would be cool to see it developed with a bigger play area or levels!

Small game, but a finished and enjoyable one. It is rather satisfying when you get dash. Pretty replayable because of the high score mechanic.

Small issue: books seem to stack up in the same place over time.

Would've liked to have a boss fight.

Highscore: 107

Super fun!! you/ yall popped off!
