How does your game fit the theme?
In HYPNOTIC the controls for the player are literally out of their control and change each turn. (For example if you press the up key while it is in the right position you go right)

One of my favorites of the jam. Great game!

Fun game, but hard to keep up with the changing speed of the controls. I really like the grapics and music.

This game it's ruthless, but well made!

The idea and the presentation are really good, it's just difficult.

Maybe the game could give the player more time to think and then reducing it a bit every turn, so the difficulty slowly ramps up.

I had a really hard time keeping the movement keys and the screen in view at the same time.     Other than that it was really fun.   Good concept, I love that the turns and the directions of the enemies was listed.   I also had quite a few key presses that did nothing, not sure if this was by design or I was doing something wrong.

Developer

If you had key presses that did nothing it was probably because you pressed them in between "turns". I should of probably explained this to the player but essentially you have a limited amount of time to make your decision each turn and that is displayed by the white bar at the bottom. When you move to your next "turn" the timer resets. You have to press the buttons during your turn meaning you have to press buttons while you see the white bar decreasing. Thx for playing though!

I figured it was something along those lines.    Thanks for clearing that up.

Really fun, even though I couldn't even make it to thirty! Would love to see this expanded and released post-jam, then I can give it a real go

Really fun contraption, it blew my mind :D

Damn that's frustrating but wants you play more :D . Although saw a lot of key switch mechanics this game jam, this one is  quite appealing.

It took me a while to understand but in the end I still didn't understand! Really awesome game!!

This game is very frustrating, but in an adicting way. Having to constantly change between looking at the main game and the controls is a real challenge.

really good game-feel and visual feedback !

Really interesting idea, and it fits the theme perfectly. I feel like the time you have to make a decision should be a bit longer, but except from that a really nice game!

Wow, the visuals are so simple but yet satisfying! I really like the style of it. I agree with others that the controls were initially a bit confusing, but for a game made in under 48 hours, you made a really good job! Just a little polish to the controls will help, but overall, very challenging (in a positive way) game, good luck!

i love the game style and it is very challenging but very fun

nice concept but the buttons were unclear to me. originally i thought that the directions in the game overlayed on the arrow keys were the directions that the player moved instead of the other way around. I figured out after a couple games though.

Ya figuring out which way to do it was a hard decision to make. At first I tried the way you thought but one of the ways to make the game more playable was looking at a specific direction and pressing the shown key. Otherwise the player had to scan the whole image every time they would want to find the direction to go in. However I still have doubts if I made the right choice.

Great presentation! However i tottaly suck in this kinda games (with switching buttons). Anyway, this jam is full of hard games and I don't think that's a con).

The presentation is awesome and I love how the game starts! Super hard though!

I like the presentation and the idea. The like turn thing felt a bit off as I often like tried to move twice during a turn n stuff cause I expected the turn to end with my move.
