Great visuals and interesting take on the theme
I thought the presentation was great; the visual effects and the pixel art were perfect and gave the game a very eerie atmosphere. The gameplay wasn't very engaging though, with the jump not feeling great to use. I couldn't work out how to attack the enemy which had strings, as my attack didn't seem to do anything. I was thinking I'd have to cut the strings, but that didn't seem to be possible. The level design was also a bit all over the place, with platforms that seemed to go nowhere and blind jumps. Interesting take on the theme, that with a lot more polish could be a very atmospheric platformer.
I loved the use of the theme and the pixel art! I just had a little problems with the colliders, but with more time to polish and more game fell, I can become a very good full game
Thanks a lot for playing! Yeah its super unpolished right now. Will definitely release a fixed version with more gameplay and better UI after the jam ends.
I really liked the style of it! nice art, it has some nigthmare fuel vibes on it (on a good way), specially those first mosters. On the gameplay side of things, a short tutorial or introduction would fit really nice, I felt lost trying to figure out them
Thanks a lot for the kind words! We barely finished this for the jam, so there are a lot of things unfinished and a ton of bugs. And there is barely any gameplay. Ill try to finish up a more polished version because the artists worked really hard on this. Anyway thanks a lot for playing our little game!
