How does your game fit the theme?
(Note: this game includes player-created names. We are filtering content, but discretion is advised.) You play as a government scientist researching MIND CONTROL on pets. You can only control one of the pets at a time. Meanwhile, the other pets run rampant. You must control them one at a time to keep them from harm's way. Some character's AI is controlled by inputs that OTHER PLAYERS submit (mind control interferance).

Hahaaaa that game's so cool ! How do you put other recorded patterns in the game ? Was the game connected to the internet while playing ? Is it a fake mechanic to add later ? How ? =o It's just awesome, the game is really well presented and it feels satisfying. Well done !
Thank you! It is not a fake mechanic! When you record a pattern and enter a name, the game sends the data to an AWS server. When you play a level with a multiplayer character, 1 of the 10 most recent characters is pulled into the game.
Oh god that's awesome xD I'll go back play more haha I need to enjoy other player's characters !
OMG this was so cool! I started playing and was thinking, oh this is a neat little idea, maybe it will get more complex as you go along... And then you showed me that I can record my own pattern and I started having other players patterns... So cool!

Had a lot of fun with this one honestly, specially level 10, it was a nice challenge. Presentation is great and gives it a super cute feel, also loved that intro narration. Game overall fits the theme very well, great work, keep it up!

This is really good. It's so rare to have any kind of online interaction on jam games, and the way it's done here is so creative, I love it. (also, seeing milo appear in the game right after it was played on the stream really cracked me up XD)
Thank you!! Yes, I (the artist) was skeptical about getting online interaction in the game in 48h... But my programming partners blew my mind and got it done in the first night. And yes, the world needs more Milos. That was a great proof of concept to show the mechanic working in real time haha
Super cute and fun. Really like sharing patterns. This could easily be extended with a kudos / like system (à la Dragon's Dogma / Death Stranding).

p.s.: we hesitated to use "The bold font" in our game and went for something else because it felt too bold. But you rocked it.
Thank you! Yes, good point - Death Stranding was a reference point for this idea. The Bold Font is indeed very bold. I wanted to include a second, less intense font, but we were so crunched for time haha.
This was great fun. The mechanic was simple, but the twist on it of being able to record your own pattern for others to deal with mixed it up really well! Totally made a huge difference. Highscore was 55.55.
Only negative was that the menus didnt work with my controller and that resetting a level meant getting kicked all the way back rather than offering a quick restart. Same for finishing a level not pushing to the next. These are minor gripes though & jam time crunch related I'd assume.
Overall, super good art, fun concept, and great execution. Good luck to those who run into my wonky pattern 😂

This game is surprisingly entertaining and hard at the same time. I even failed the very first level multiple times as I was unable to do the very simple thing of moving the pets to the other sides of the area in the correct time and order... Loved the recording mechanics though, it's a really clever idea. Overall it's a very good and polished game. Well done.

Wow, awesome job with the recording feature. That is super cool. The art and animation is professional-level, as are the menus. The gameplay loop is fun, but I did have some trouble seeing the little lightning balls at first (I thought my pets were dying for no reason). Maybe you could make these more visible / higher contrast somehow? Anyway- great job! If anybody plays against "RATKING" that one is mine. It's the dumb rat moving in a V pattern.
Oh- one last thing, and this is bound to happen when you open these things up to the internet- I got paired with somebody who put in a pretty gnarly word. I don't know if you are able to apply a word filter on the server or anything but I wouldn't want somebody to play your game and see a super offensive word and attribute it to the game creators / report it. Just a heads up!
