I love stuff like this that makes me feel like an old school computer hacker. Very cool man. My only advice would be to make sure that every level teaches the player something they don't already know. I felt like the first couple levels were very repetitive. Still, very good game.

The screen distorting made it quite hard to see what I was typing / reading. But I really liked your idea. The sfx of the guy responding to your actions was a really nice touch. Good job!

Wow I loved the idea! But I got stuck on level 7_hex. I am not fast enough typing open/close. A tab completer would have been great.
Also I may have found a bug. On level 7, I could let one of the cores die (the one on the bottom left) and focus on saving the other. It would then say I had passed the level but there would be no new computer to connect to. I'm guessing the string variable was empty.

Just tried your game, I did like it as you said :D
Nice presentation, I really like the voice lines, makes the game way more immersive.
I missed some things, just telling you in case you'll work on it after the JAM:
- Being able to auto complete, like from "connect 5(tab)" -> "connect 5_userspace"
- Being able to join commands, like "close d1 && open d2", although this may affect the game's difficulty.

Thanks a lot for playing! Yes I thouht about that and remove those features because de puzzles were becoming wayy too easy. But maybe it’s in fact more in the theme, people with the knowledge can really take over the control of the game, the dev is totaly loosing it. I’ll probably put them back in the next version. :)

This game is immensely impressive and original. Theres just something about typing into a commad line that just makes you feel super smart, and this succeeds at making you feel like the 'guy in the chair'. Very well done.

Very cool game! Other comments have mentioned adding console features like tab autocomplete and cycling to old commands, and I would agree with this. One game that does that well is Quadrilateral Cowboy, which I would recommend playing for some inspiration if you haven't already. Nice work!

Had a bit of a learning curve understanding what the commands did but once I got the hang of I enjoyed frantically typing the commands to open and close the doors on time. Really nice presentation and overall a very interesting and unique game
