Just rated your game. I like the overall idea of the game and you did a progression system, how awesome is that? Love it. But it lacks a bit of juicyness once I hit enemies or get hit by them. The serious military music theme doesn't fit the cute graphics and gameplay. You could create this contrast but then you would need some blobby sound effects for movement and shooting, I think. But still: good job and you totally fit the theme :)

Meet Me in The Shadows is a turn based strategy game where Light is your Enemy. It is a submission for the annual Game Makers Toolkit Jam and a lot of the assets are handdrawn. The game is inspired by a board game I played as a kid, that's the reason why I chose this hand-drawn style.
