Our game is called: "One Item: Yo-Yo". Use your yo-yo to push, pull and swing yourself out of this crypt. Toying with the mechanic is crazy fun. Plus, it plays right in the browser!

Nice art and music! It's a bit hard to control but it's fun.

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. Do you think you can check out this guide and tell us if it's helpful for new players?

Submitted(+1)

It actually was really helpful. I like how you included gifs. It would be nice if it linked in game so everyone could see it.

We can't change the game anymore unfortunately but we would like to include tutorials after the jam rating period is over. I'm really happy you found it useful! Thank you!

Here's mine! It's an arcade style shooter where you can only kill one enemy per shot! The other twist is that if you miss your shot, you also die! Precision and patience are key! Good luck!

I played this one for while. It's punishing, yet addictive. Good job!

Here's my team's game: https://charliechumbuck.itch.io/thevengefulorb

It's a 2d space shooter... with one bullet... which is actually your character's deceased brother. Yeah, it's a weird game, but people who have played it so far seem to really enjoy it! I hope you do, too.

Mine is a puzzle game where you give commands using morse-code:

I'll take a look at the games here later tonight! But I decided to drop mine here until then, I hope everyone had a great jam

Plan of Attack is a game where you get one card and it's not how beefy the card is, it's how you use it that counts.

It's like a combination of rock, paper, scissors and war.

Here is mine :

A narrative oriented game where 5 people speak simultaneously but you can only listen to one of them a a time.

This is our surreal story driven game, where players have to draw the world into existence in order to progress; https://portrait-prophecies.itch.io/while-the-whole-world-laughs

My game is Broken Robot which is a puzzle platformer, where you can only press each direction once per level. I tried to follow the only one theme in most of the design by only having one enemy, one collectible, one screen, etc per level.

One block game, a platformer with only one platform. It's a puzzle-platformer game. Use teleporters to teleport the block from place to place to complete the levels!

Mine ended up becoming more of a prototype than a full game unto itself but I think the idea has some legs and I'm proud of it as my first ever game jam submission. I'm looking through everyone's games here in this thread too and Ill try to leave comments as I can.
