Thanks for trying to play the game! Apparently this error is showing on some  people's computers when the game over message appears. I identified and corrected the problem, and will upload a new version as soon as the Jam ends!

Then I'll try it out again :)

I like the idea, it's fun! I have a hard time using the mouse to control the platform, not sure why hehe

We also created a game for the jam in case you want to check it :)

The art style and music are outright psychotic (and amazing).

Simple and fun gameplay-wise

Great concept! The execution is a bit floppy as the game crashes when you fall off...

But the concept is rather nice!

It's certainly an interesting concept with fun visuals and music.

I think a floaty jump would've matched better. Having such a small range of movement with such quick instant death limits the mechanic and makes it more annoying than fun. Besides that, whenever you have a random element in your game it's really important to consider the range of possibilities your random allows. In this case, I think your function for randomly adding things to the screen should've checked what was on the screen and made sure there's always a good thing to go after, if only to lessen the downtime.

Also, allowing w to jump would make controls a lot more comfortable. I know space is used a lot with wasd, but when w isn't being used for something else, it makes for a great backup when using small keyboards with large hands and such. It's also more intuitive if the player is used to games that don't use the mouse.

I like it! I really think that it could have turned out to be better if you had more time. It feels a little boring after playing a couple of minutes. I give you my kudos anyway! My game's also about an only one platform, you can try it at https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/462969
