Interresting idea for a mechanic but i think it would need something to be combine with in order the make something really challenging. Some Flappy Bird style obstacle maybe?
I wouldn't say it was too tough, particularly since you could just spam the button and always be at the top. It would be cool if there was some things to dodge, like maybe the enemy launched shells that you had to avoid? Still a very cool creation, and very playable too, with easy to understand gameplay.
Accessibility win!
Really interesting and great theme. I was pushing to get through to see what happened at the end. The parallax of the keys added a lot of panic and I was tense until the end, great job!
Really cool! I liked the use of parallax to disorient the player in which button they'll have to press next - if you add more things that trip up the player like that, this might become a game with a very distinct feel and gameplay loop!
Great game, a little easy ,but it has a lot of potential ,and could be improved but adding some exra challenge .
Good job !
Interesting twist on one button. It's not one button - but it also is one button at the same time lol. Could be nice to have some obstacles maybe to avoid (a bit flappy bird like?) to add another dimension to the game. Cool idea, good job!
Awesome fun single button game!!
All the best for the rest of the jam
Kindly, return the favor by trying mine and leave your feedback: https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/431948?after=40#post-878701
I love how the "one button" mechanic is turned on its head. It kept me engaged the whole way, nice game!
The parallax caught me off guard and sold the game for me. It'd be fun to play an infinite version of this during my downtime.
game is amazing I love it
Really great game!
The parallax sure was surprising, caught me off guard!
First game that I made to the end. Not a lot of typing games these days, so that was fun.
Congrats on the submission!

I took part in the #GMTKJam too: You can play and rate my game here: https://kidando.itch.io/ninja-slicer
Pretty neat. I like how the scrolling parallax actually has an effect on the gameplay. As others have said, it could use a little variety in the gameplay. Some obstacles/ enemies would be a good addition.
Interesting and unique concept! I love how there is a sound telling you when to switch buttons. You should be very proud with this one!
Really like the atmosphere of this one. The sound and background art work great together. I really liked it when more keys started to show up in close proximity, I didnt want it to end! I think this could would be really cool to push a little further to the point where I'm rapidly smashing keys to get a few flaps in before the next flag. Sweet game!
First, I want to say you have a great team to complete this game. Very complete in tutorial and the UI Setting. And the art is nice draw. I like it. The background also nice for your game.
If you want some advice, I would like to offer two. First you can try to make your background makes Parallax which makes infinite scrolling background.(It can directly hence your game more) Second is to randomize your letters or speed up your moving to make the level more difficult. Or you can add more obstacles to Increase the difficulty.
But it still one good game and I want to play more in your games. (I am not sure why each time I will click twice on the "Fly button" and then start the game. But just one little bit issue. Does not matter)
Keep going. I like your game. (•̀ᴗ•́) و ̑̑
Thank you! I was worried that I hadn't done the art justice because this is my first game jam but it's nice to know that I was just being a little bit too self critical. I'm happy you enjoyed the game and it's art, and I wish you the best of luck with your jam game.

That's Ok. When I joined my first game jam on the Dec, 2018, I made art and design, But still did not make one complete game jam (Only complete the movement and the chop actions). You have a better start than me. Keep going and be patient! (•̀ᴗ•́) و ̑̑
Fun little game! It really reminds me of the typing games I used to play when I was younger. As others have stated, I think adding some obstacles to fly around (say cannonballs) would be a good addition if you want to push the concept further.
Thank you and yes I will be posting the update in a few days with added levels and objects to dodge!
I like how you have to pay attention to both the foreground and the background but I suck at typing lol. Anyway, nice job here!
Hey, congrats on this, this is a clever idea! Really easy to get into :) And thanks for playing our game <3
