Nice mashup idea of a game as old as time! I found it difficult to get the hang of using space to 'lock' and 'unlock' my character and died quite a bit until I got used to it. With some work on the controls you definitely have an original concept. Did you have any ideas on how you could expand the game? I also liked the style of your graphics and felt it suited the way the game played. Some sound would have added some crunch to those impacts as well. Good job overall :)

Cool idea, as others have said it would be nice to have feedback on which weapon you currently have

Developer

Very good idea and adherence to theme.

Any weaknesses lie in the design, but all of them can be fixed with feedback and time. Controls are clunky, but that may be intentional or a result of which ones I used (WASD+mouse). As others have mentioned, feedback as to what mode you are in now, as well as which weapon, would improve this.

Only being able to fire in eight directions might be fine when you can move freely, but as your movement is limited in this game, I think being able to fire in any direction (such as where the mouse is pointing) would decrease frustration and clunkiness.

Great game!

Developer

thank you so much for your thorough feedback :D yes you are totally right, honestly i just took too much time thinking of a game before i started coding, so i ran out of time in the end. thanks again for your time :)

Pretty fun game. The rules are simple and easy to undestand.

It lacks feedbacks for some stuff, like what weapon you have and in which mode you are, but besides that, great game!

Developer

you're totally right, didn't have the time in the end :) thanks for your time!

Really fun game! At the beginning I was a bit confused but after several tries I managed to understand better what I had to do, and the choice to display guns as "Rock, Paper, Scissors" elements makes it very simple to understand which gun are effective against which since we already know the rules.

Maybe it lacks feedbacks to know if you are in shoot or move mode, but it's a Jam and I know you can't do everything, and overall it's a cool fun little game! So, great job!

Developer

thanks for the feedback! couldn't agree more, i totally ran out of time :) started coding like almost 24h after the jam started^^
