I really liked it, really engaging and the difficulty scales well. Nice job!

Super neat game! I love how the mechanics are a little systemic, it had me feeling like I was outsmarting the game coming up with my own solutions in some levels. Great entry!

Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it :)

Nice game! I had the same idea as you when first trying to think of ideas for my submission (the whole one shot to kill all enemies idea), but I was a worried that my game would end up being one of a thousand similar games. But your game showed me that even that idea can be implemented in different ways.

Developer

Thank you :)

I genuinely wanted to complete all the levels. It wasn't always clear what you were supposed to do, but I managed to complete some of the trickier ones by pushing the barrels around to block the AI's line of site. Even if that wasn't the intended way though it still felt fun to do.

Developer

If it works - then it works! Out of interest - where did you get to in the game?

I actually completed all the levels - reading my comment again, it sounded like I didn't finish. That said, certain levels felt awkward to complete; like I had to hack my way through them rather than use the mechanics as they were probably intended.

For example, to beat the level below I pushed the top barrel onto the first enemy so he couldn't see me. This also prevented the second enemy from seeing me when I jumped to shoot the barrel through the slit. In the end, I never figured out what the purpose of the first flaming barrel was...

Developer

Your solution was actually the intended solution. The exploding barrel didn't really have a purpose - which was an oversight on my end, my bad. I'm glad you finished the game though! I'm actually thinking of polishing the game up and putting it on itch - so your feedback on the level design helps. Thank you :)

Good job guys this is a great game!

I played through the entire game and I think I fell in love with this game in the level where you have to shoot the flaming barrel while you are on the ladder so it can push two barrels to activate two buttons to make two enemies fall down and then you press a button above the ladder to kill them!

And that's not even the craziest combo I had to play!!

Thanks for the feedback! It was just me who worked on the game - but I'm really glad you enjoyed it!  Cheers :)

Edit: I just realized you made lurking in the dark and wanted to say congrats - your game is phenomenal!

Very fun discover aspect and very nice puzzles

Cheers :)

Awesome game! You've really nicely  introduced all the mechanics.

One thing I didn't like is that aiming sometimes feels imprecise.

Really fun game overall. Great job! :D

Developer(+1)

Cool! I'll try to improve that in future shooters. Thanks for the feedback :)

is there a way to beat the level with the enemy moving back and forth and the 3 enemies ontop of the door.
I never could get up to the button so I dont know how to kill the moving enemy

Developer

Climb up on the barrel :)

There are some good levels in this. Reminds me of classic flash games. Screw slopes lmao

Developer

Thanks :) and yes screw slopes very much

The level design could use tweeking, and the idea is not really that original, but I had a good time nonetheless, and the "permanent tutorial" is really amazing.

I agree - I'm not an expert on level design XD

Thanks for the feedback :)

Thanks for your reply!

I like the puzzel design, simple mechanics that work well together. Clean design especially for a game jam!

Developer

Thank you :)

Really nice concept, lots of potential puzzles.
I wasn't expecting the gun to shoot when I muted the music. I do find the gun sound too loud. I also found an issue with level 2, the fire barrel and enemies can move under the platform and make it very difficult to get an angle to shoot it.

Well done :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I completely agree with all of your criticisms - but sadly because it's a game jam the game will have problems and I can't fix them XD
