That was good, I like the concept but I do also think the gameplay could use a little work. I didn't really know what to do at first and struggled even when I did :D

Interesting idea, quite original, and I like the creepy body graphics, gameplay could use some work, but has potensh.

The idea is nice and I can see it being expanded upon in the future. That being said I found it a little hard at first to figure out what I was meant to be doing.

Really interesting moral take on what is best for the many. It took one go trying it out before I understood what I was looking for but then I got there and only had to sacrifice a few souls for it. Great job

Maybe I'm dumb, but I didn't understand your game all that well :(

Are we supposed to trap all the people? Or the white people? Or only the orange people? I hope you can comment and help me understand better, so I can give this game another try.

Moving on to what I liked about your game: the backstory was interesting, the design of the characters is very good, as is the animation for the trap. The music fits the game nicely too.

Thank you for the compliments!

Spoiler: The goal is to figure it out yourself but you're supposed to find the Patient Zero, also known as the one that spreads the disease, and trap him, saving as many souls as possible in the process. This means that you should try to trap only the Patient Zero which is rather hard because you have to find him first, and it is difficult to be correct on your first try.

The Patient Zero is the only one, in this case, that spreads it. How you find him is up to you to discover, it has been answered already in other comments.

Thanks for playing.

Very interesting take on the "Only One" theme... Good job! This game also has very great potential, maybe even in multiplayer (one is patient zero the other is the trap guy for example, idk).  It was very hard to see who was infected, maybe make the particles a bit more noticeable. Apart from that great game! Good with it!

PS: I layed many times, my record is 94!! (I'm really proud), is it a record ?

Would love if you could check mine out too! Or not, no pressure ;)

You can remove traps.

I wouldn't say that the game isn't fun, but right now it seems like the crowd is moving in a very hectic manner and it's hard to isolate the patient zero even if you spot the green things when they appear (at least I'm assuming that's the illness indication). It would probably benefit from having a better description and explanation on how does it fit in the game jam's theme, because right now I'm going just off of assumptions.
I'm loving the art and the music, tho! Good job getting the game done in the short time and see you on the next jam.

Developer

Thank you for the sincere comments! Your assumptions are mostly correct and perhaps it would be better if we had given another clue towards the Patient Zero (Spoiler: He is the only one spreading the disease and doesn't develop the symptoms). That is a difficult thing to balance cause if it becomes instantly obvious who is the patient zero, then the game loses replay value.

Regarding the theme of the gamejam, most of the characters are equal to each other and the goal is to find the only one who is different, but not in an obvious way, thus becoming a puzzle.

The game isn't very fun. From what I have played I win purely by luck. The sprites look ok, and the music is fine. The black text at the start is hard to read.

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the feedback, it is really appreciated! While we agree that the text at the beginning may be hard to read, we disagree with you regarding the luck. Players have achieved a 99 score, the maximum possible.
