This is a good take on the theme and a well-made mini-game to boot! I don't think it's humanly realistic to get the perfect score the game wants you to have, but I also get the feeling that's kinda the point. I think the only thing that was missing for me was some variable jump height, though I suppose I can understand how that might have conflicted with your design.
