it takes some time to get used to the controls but overall it's very well done, challenging too!

Cool! I do think it would be better with one button to activate and one to switch command. Other than that it was neat!
Definitely a pretty unusual mechanic and the game is built quite well around it. My only real gripes are that the control scheme is a bit needlessly clunky (but I understand it's 1 button instead of 2 to fit with the theme, and can't think of a better way to handle it with just 1 button), and that the floor tiles don't stand out well from the walls and exit. I'd recommend making them a darker color (PICO-8 color 5, the dark gray, might work well) so they're clearly distinct and don't fight for attention with the characters standing on them.
Cool idea, but a little hard to control. so hard to see that you are actually doing something.
This is awesome, and I can definitely see Mark talking about it in his video. It seemed quite tough real quick out of the gate, so maybe a less steep difficulty curve could be helpful. I also loved the addition of the green enemy to make it so that every single action counts. The visuals were also fantastic, really just phenomenal job all around!
wow, this is actaully clever and fun. i hope this idea gets developed further.
