Interesting idea but could be fleshed out way more. For a game about blind individuals, there's a startling lack of focus on that blindness beyond a black screen - blindness can mean a greater focus on writing, on audio, and descriptions.
You are right about that but, I cant code myself, I wrote the story. My teammate was coding and he vanished. I had to find someone else in the last 5 hours. Its a branching story, so It was hard to do that. If nothing had gone wrong throught the making of the story there could have been less typos and music.
The idea is really interesting, but as others said a bit of sound and music would have really helped make you feel the atmosphere.
Intesting idea, there wasnt too much gameplay, but if youre into these kinds of games you'll probably find this pretty fun.
Played it twice and I survived!
Great concept but having music and sfx would make it better! I liked the story and enjoyed it.
I agree with gsanz95, a bit of music or sound effects would have gone a long way in this game. Very simple choose your own adventure with a lot of potential, would have liked to have seen more. :)
My partner vanished so I had to start over. Didn't really had time to put up a music. Thanks for your comment.
I'm sorry to hear that. I'm glad you were able to persevere and finish.
I found someone else. But there was 5 hours left. Coding a branching storyline is a long process. In my next game jam I will definitly add music.
Honestly, I could see the potential in this game... like if you put music and sounds and maybe just a bit of more work into the text you could get a great game.
Well, you uhh, did it? You did fit the theme but I'll just be honest, the game wasn't very enjoyable . Since you only had text left to engage me after taking away the visuals, and it didn't in the first 2 minutes, I will say that taking away visuals was a mistake.
Well, if you win anything, it would be coming up with the easiest game in existence to develop. Still, I've never seen anything like it. Check out my submission! https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2018/rate/300708
