Very fun although the puzzles can be tedious, also, there's a delay in the player jump.

Actually, it was a chrome issue. For some reason, on google chrome, I simply jump higher and the game runs at a lower frame-rate. Playing through this game on a different browser, it's AWESOME! Super geometric, awesome puzzle-action levels, and good control!
Unfortunately, level 2/10 (the one with the spiked ceiling) seems to be impossible. No mater what side I pick, I hit the spiked ceiling. I think it might be an issue with low framerate, because the school potato I'm running this on runs this at about 10 fps. I'll play this again and leave a more proper review when I get home and can play this on my actual computer.
So many mechanic, the game doesn't get a chance to be boring XD
You did an amazing job with the level design and the background music,
although I would rather it continue playing when starting a new level and not start from the beginning since it is feeling repetitive that way
Overall a very solid game, well done!
Very solid, clever game. Love the mechanics, and the graphics and sound aren't bad either! I love the sound effects of stabbing stuff, and hooking onto the buttons, they're really great.
While the gameplay is really good, there are a few things I feel could be improved:
- I'd prefer Space as a jump button instead of Up/W
- A few levels ask for fairly precise movement, but that's hard to get due to the lack of a variable jump height, and the player sliding off of platforms.
- A lot of the levels that require timing are very strict - Level 10 in particular is tight enough that I kept losing because the enemy bounced off while the block was fading away.
- The hexagon side of the puzzle piece is too similar to the round side, and I kept getting stuck on one level due to thinking the hex button was the round one. Maybe try a different shape?
Despite that, the game was still a lot of fun, and I like how there were achievements for replayability. It's a very good game overall, and it'd only get better with more levels and mechanics.
Thank you so much for such thorough feedback!
It’s literally a matter of seconds to add space as another jump, don’t know why I didn’t just add it as an option.
Variable jump height has been mentioned a few times and I’ll definitely add that first thing post-jam.
Lowering the friction and time restraint of some levels is an excellent idea too.
I’m not sure why I went with a hexagon instead of like…a square? I guess I just like hexagons. Anyway that’s a really good point as well.
One of my personal favorite mechanics was the enemies that could press the buttons. That opened a lot of possibilities.
Thank you once again for such thoughtful feedback, it is very much appreciated.
I really liked this! clever idea and a lot of fun! the music was great and loved how you fit onto things like a puzzle piece -opening doors felt satisfying -same with using the spikes! great use of the theme! Awesome job on this! :D
I'm a man of my word Mr Penguin. Anyway, that was very well made. I think you did an excellent job with it
Amazing entry! I love the way you interpreted the them and I would love to play more levels featuring even more of your already amazing mechanics! Great job!
Love every thing in this game nice control dosent feel like jamgame
great game love the idea and the mechanics i would love to see a full version one day
the only thing that it needs would be to make the jump better with variable jump height
Very good game. Clever mechanics and I love the tutorial explained as you go through the level.
It is a very clever idea.
If I really have to give a suggestion, maybe the feeling of the jump could be a bit improved (Even if I do not know really well to tell you how XD). In any case, this was a very good game, especially given the limited amount of time of the Jab. Good work!
P.S.
Consider trying also my game leaving feedback, I would appreciate it a lot :D
