Unique concept and nice implementation of the theme!! Really like the clean geometric design as well. Nice job!
Wow! As Atomic Burning said, I thought this game was just like other ones with the same concept. But boy this was unique. I had a hard time to understand to rotate, but once I got the idea, it was soo addicting! Great job!
Thank you so much mate i am glad you like it!
I've seen this concept a few times in this jam, but it was never applied to a platformer, so this entry is a weird mix of familiarity and uniqueness. The music is great and the graphics are simple yet really appealing. I'll just say this though: I don't like how the jump feels. Maybe it would've been better if there was a low and high jump?
Very fun. After getting past the initial starting difficulty, the game is super fun, and a good level of challenge. However, level 5 is just a total maze. There's also a ton of spots on level 5 where you can just fall off and never come back, and spots where you cannot see the platform above/below to switch your side to. Basically, my main issue is that level 5 feels very rushed compared to the rest. I swear I tried going everywhere, but I couldn't figure it out. I feel a maze level isn't a good idea for an autorunning game. Besides that, it controls well and the idea is excellent.
Thank you very much i am glad you like it . Little hint for level 5 : You can pass that level with just one jump ;)
Oh wow, never would have figured that out on my own. Considering similar spots resulted in an infinite fall, I feel like no player would have logically went there. Though ngl, it's a funny troll.
In my opinion the game rn isn't very good, but with small fixes you could make it really fun. I think the gravity is too low. You could ramp it up aswell as the jump strenght. it would feel more responsive. For me the pixel-art isn't the right style for a neon - bright game. You could make a better-looking game using simple shapes (look mobile games rider or hop hop hop for example) The game is too difficult, and lacks checkpoints. The music is fine. Pause menu doesn't have a volume slider. There is no tutorial, which makes the start confusing. There is a huuge room for improvement, because the concept is brilliant.
Thank you so much for comment. The reason why i didn't put checkpoints is levels are short . The main voice in my game is the music. That is why i didn't put volume slider in the pause menu. You can just set the volume in the main menu. I don't think the game needs tutorial.Because this game is a Gamejame game.Whole instructions are in the itch io page. And the gameplay video is in there too.
I like the design of your game! and Theme implementation is also impressive!
Keep it up!
I am glad you like it mate thank you so much
This game is so nice.
I like the Design and Music.
The Idea is so nice! Just a bit hard
Well done
Thank you so much for your comment . I'm definitely thinking of adjusting the difficulty level. Thanks!
Very nice mechanic but it's pretty hard (even for a pro gaimer like me)
My aim was to push the players but i guess it was a bit too much XD thanks your comment!
Really nice visually stunning game. It really displays the theme of the Jam. I have some suggestions:
1> When the player falls below the platform it keeps on falling infinitely. You should restart at a certain minY value. (if there is a limit, i had to wait to long and had to restart the game form the menu).
2> To make it more interesting and little easy for players, you can slow down time when rotating the player cube. From this players will have some time to think.
Overall nicely done. :)
I actually designed the level accordingly, but I think I missed a few places XD . I will definitely fix that . Thank you very much!
Very clever idea and I loved the particle effects when dying. Also, the music is really cool. I think this game has a lot of potential if expanded after the Jam with more time.
Good Job!
Few suggestions if you plan to work again on this:
- I would add an animation when rotating the cube (I think it would really improve the feeling).
- It would be cool to control the height of the jump with the duration on which you press the button.
- Maybe a small onscreen tutorial to explain how to rotate the cube at the first platform.
Anyway, a really nice entry :D
I thought about doing animation but nothing good came to my mind lol . Thank you so much for your comment i am glad you like it
Nice Game, but 2% to hard for me.
Really great game! I love the idea for the gameplay, but the levels are so hard right off the bat that I couldn't ease into the mechanics. But really good job with the theme and geometricness of it all. Good Job!
Thanks mate!
LOOKS GREAT! I really love the bloom effect. Idea is incredible. Didn' t saw any bugs. Cool :)
Thank you very much i am glad you like it!
I love the gameplay but i couldn t continue enjoying the game because of that glow, it was a bit too much, it feels like it s burning your eyes, myb add a setting to turn it off.
I will definitely put a setting related to it and i am glad you like it . Thank you so much !
The Vibeee, so goooodd
Thanks a lot!
Probably needs a better starting curve, some one turn jumps to get into the groove, but other than that solid game, good job.
Thank you so much for your feedback . I'll fix the places you mentioned . Thank you!
Difficult but fun!
I really liked your approach to the theme. I have followed a similar but not so similar approach!
The main thing that I think you should focus on is the player movement. It did not feel precise, and the game did not recognize many of my key presses. You can look up for the terms "coyote time" and "jump buffering" to create better polished platformer games in the future!
Other than that, I can see that you can used certain post-processing elements to give the game a good look, excellent! Another things I would suggest visual-wise would be to add a shade to the player character and jump particles.
Other than that, making so that respawning is quicker actually would keep the player in the game for longer. I think you can work on this idea, polish it a bit more, and learn lots of things for your future projects!
Great entry, well done!
Thank you so much for your comment it means a lot to me.And I researched the things you mentioned and it was really helpful.Thank you again!
This game has one of the best music I've ever heard in a jam game. Glowey graphics look good too. Good work!
Thank you so much for your comment . I really appreciate it
nice job! the game is really fun and extremely challenging.
Thanks!
Great and original idea! Good job! You can rate my game if you want
Thank you so much ! I will definitely look
