Really love how brutal this game is, even if I died a few times so far it's been super fun. I like how you have to plan out your attacks, when and where you save, etc. Gives it a very classic feel that I find is somewhat missing nowadays. One thing I noticed is the performance is a little weird, when I started playing it stuttered whenever I killed an enemy, but that could just be on my end. There's other little things here and there I'd personally change but I'd rather not try to tell you how to do your project since what you have so far is pretty cool. I have to ask though, what artstyle do you plan on using if the project is worked on more? The concept art looks great and the atmosphere in the demo is great but the inconsistent scaling bogs it down a little. If you'd like more specific feedback I'd be willing to give it but for now keep up the awesome work.
thanks so much for playing and giving feedback! I'm glad you liked it, and there's a lot more to come. This first area, "The Pit" is just like, the beginning tutorial area but there's gonna be a lot more areas with different vibes, and I'm kinda just trying out stuff and seeing what works in terms of visuals and art, etc. Its all a learning process. But I want to do like, pre-rendered fmv sequences, kind of old school style cut scenes at some point too.
by all means, please feel free to give more specific feedback, and don't hold back!
