I really like the artstyle on this game, its so cute, as others have mentioned, some animations and/or effects wouldnt be bad, and there’s a small problem when the charather falls, you can’t get back up so easily as the camera stays on that part of the tower, but overall this is a sweet and cute game
Fun little game! The art and sound design fit really well together. I agree with others that I wish there was more juice. I especially would have liked smoother screen transitions between levels. I also had an issue where I just couldn't do the next level because it didn't seem to link up to the one before it in terms of collision shapes.
I hope you continue on with this! I'd love to see what more you do with it.
Great to see a fellow blob game :)
Loved the pickups and sound effects, very satisfying.
Did you do the art yourself, it’s good.
Nice job!
I'm always down for a fun little jumping game.
For only having 2 days to work on it, this is nice. The basics are all there.
The levels appear randomly (procedurally?) generated. Occasionally, I got a room that I could actually get to because the platform was too far. I'd like to see that corrected in round 2 (if you chose to continue this game, of course).
Art was pretty good. I could definitely get the slime and tower parts straight away.
All around good entry!
I really enjoyed the fact your HP falls constantly, and it is at the same part with the timer. So as a player I only have to look at one part. Great work on such a complex game! And at making all the art I assume!
EDIT: Forgot to comment about the theme, I would like a reference to "spectacle" a bit, but I do get the "minute" one. Nice!
As others have mentioned, a little bit more animation and juice would have been nice, but it's a very fun and intuitive little game! I liked that I could tell what was going on, and the little collectibles were very clear on what they did.
The design of the monsters isn't too bad and I like that you've got one that moves sideways, I would have loved to see more movement and animation in the other ones. There is quite a number of bugs but considering you made the game in just 2 days, it's kinda expected and you've done pretty well with the time you had
Though at first I thought it was a bit broken, after a couple tries I was able to get past the second room frame. An interesting idea of a game, combining these two genres! Though still a little rough around the edges in terms of falling off the edge or being clear how to jump up to a next stage when there’s not another platform. From the art perspective (this round’s theme), was a simplistic - could have used a little supporting animation on the characters or movement.
