This was an incredible game! the wordle minigame sections were really good and the dialog around them was really well written. The story was also interesting and I really enjoyed the mystery element that we had to solve

Wow, a murder mystery in a game jam what a feat! Really well done visual style and polish on everything, very impressive overall! The story was fantastic as well, it definitely took me a while for the solution to click but it all made sense it the end. Very good job!

This was a really fun game, and the Brainblast was great! Everything fit together really well and the story was entertaining.

Nice job! the animations are great and I like the puzzles!

I really liked the dialogue and the artwork. The brainblast puzzles are good and I like the build up to them but I wish there were a few more attempts, appreciate you putting the answers in the description page

I really loved the game, and the visuals are spectacular, and btw when I read this line:

It made me immediatelly think of Brooklyn99 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIYuU2_rYP0

Wow, you really put a lot of work into the story. We should watch out for you in the story round. Overall, the art looked great and nailed the theme.  I never played wordle before, but I really enjoyed it as minigame.

Developer

I totally forgot theres a story round! I appreciate the feedback. Im trying to push my narrative design skillset a lot this year so happy to hear it was received pretty well.

Great game you've made! Never played many detective games, so was really appreciative of all the hints!

Nice story with the mind-blazing detective. Would have wished a more mechanical implementation of the themes, but this is just a personal taste. Very nice visuals and effects in an all around great game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I feel you on the mechanical implementation I toyed with the idea a bit but if Im being honest. Im trying to use the game jams this year to help prototype some of the systems I want in the game I'd like to release at teh end of the year. So I decided to focus more on story but I agree, a more mechanical implementation on top of the story would have took it from great to super dope.

makes total sense! Game jams are for the developer as much as for the player! Fanatsix work again!

GREAT ART!  The music and aesthetic were great touches.  Using wordle as a minigame was a really good idea, too.  My only comment would be to speed up the dialogue a bit.  Sometimes it felt like it was dragging on a little without adding more to the story.  Overall, really great entry!

Developer

Thanks! In hindsight I def wish I made the dialogue a little more succinct. Don't want to lose the plot lol.

Pretty nice mystery game, with a cool overall storyline. The wordle minigame was a nice change of pace too, I just wish there was more guesses before losing it. Great entry!

Developer

Much appreciated! I had a lot of trouble deciding the number of chances. I actually started with 5 but I think my play tester was just too good at Wordle because they said it was too easy but everyone else was wishing for more tries lol.

I always really enjoy your GDKO entries, and this certainly did not disappoint. The atmosphere of the game was great, and the art was really cohesive. I also really loved the squares and the splat transitions. I think you implemented the Theme and Modifier in a really unique way. I would love to see this expanded further in the future, I really enjoyed this game! I kept getting the wrong answers but I finally got there in the end lol

Much appreciated! I feel the same about your entries! Im thinking I can give the player more chances and time in future iterations. It's so hard to gauge difficulty when you are making the puzzles haha. Thanks for playing!
