Having made a sadder themed game myself, I liked the tone of your entry. The music fits wonderfully for that feeling. Having the intro be the title screen worked really well. It's a little too difficult for me but the controls are very good and the follow your heart mechanic is super cool. I love the art style and the animations are great. My biggest complaint is having the r key be reset and the e key be the one that activates the heart. I keep hitting the reset button by accident when trying to quickly jump and use the heart. At first, I didn't even notice it was a reset button and thought I had crashed the game or died or something. Really an amazing job though and I'm going to come back to it in a bit and try again.

i got to play it again when I had a bit more time and finally got through it all. What an emotional ride. Love the mechanics and how the ending changes the meaning of all the dialogue and feel of the levels. Also got to say again the movement for the character just feels fantastic. I especially love the slide. Good luck with the Jam!
It is unclear how to pass the second level. And I don't like death in the game.
Beautiful animated flowing hair sprite, and perfectly timed/animated opening Title. Had a bit of trouble with the controls as a few others have mentioned, but the game is overflowing with a minimalist style that immediately draws you in.
The graphics and music are stunning, truly a beautiful game! I have a lot of trouble with the controls, nothing that hasn't already being said in the comments, and I must be missing something, but I'm stuck here in T pose near the beginning :
This happens when I use the E key to move the heart and immediately hold W and D to move right up to the next platform. (If I don't hold the keys immediately, the heart disables itself and I have no choice but to kill the protagonist to restart.) When the heart I'm controlling touches the heart on the platform, this happens.
If there's something I can do differently to progress further I will, because your game is amazing.
Oh interesting. I'm sorry this is causing issues for you. I can't seem to replicate it, but if the heart mechanic is causing you to not be able to progress, you should be able to wall climb the wall on the right or, you can get a slight speed boost by dashing with Shift and jumping from the platform. Again, I'm really sorry this is causing issues for you and I hope can finish the game. Thank you for the feedback!
Sincerely wonderful. I echo the "E" key issue that a lot of people brought up, but it wasn't too big an issue and the story is so deftly told that I didn't mind that much. The syncing of the music and SFX at one point... man.
The story is so touching.. it make my heart sink.
Took a while for me to know that you can dash using shift and can use the heart mid air. But other than that, the game is really great. Great Job
I like the story of the game and the gameplay! As other people have said it is tough to use e key and wasd but I figured it out. The story has so much depth for a game made in 9 days! 9.5/10.
The sound design and story were great but the controls were a pain. Wanting to aim the heart up with W but then pressing E to activate it was horrible. Personally I would've used arrow keys instead and made Z the button to activate the heart then your hands aren't as close together.
Yoo I like it soo much, graphics are simple yet catchy also story telling is on point !
Great job <3
This is gold!
Love the hearth mechanics and the visuals.
If you want you can check my entry too.
