Great art/animation and I loved the cell-shading/outline look - good use of colors, too. It was fun to play. A dodge/roll would have been nice. Lots of juice - great looking!

The art is great and the music gives it a relaxing tone. Slashing around just feels nice. Great game!

I enjoyed it

Very good drawing 3d art stile, and the animations are very juicy. The things that can make this game be better I guess it will be the variety of more levels or a tutorial (I spend like 10 minuets running away from the racoons because I didn't know how to attack). Overall, to be made in a week its a very good game with a potent art style. GREAT JOB!! ^^

Really nice art style, and cool hit animation !

Just wish there was a bit diversity to the levels / ennemies, but I guess time ran out :)

it's juicy, great job !

The graphics are impressive and the sounds are sweet, well done!

Really loved the art style of the game. The animations and attacking all felt really nice.

Some more enemy variety would be nice just to keep engagement for longer play sessions.

Overall satisfying game!

I absolutely love the art style, very well done and relaxing. killing the enemies is fun.

the game gets repetitive - collecting fruits does not contribute to any long term goal such as a score, and after clearing about four rooms I kinda saw everything the game had to offer.

the basics are there, and id love to see this system expended upon. good work!

I has a nice visual style, I found that the game mechanics could use some improvement. The controls felt a bit sluggish and the lack of a clear goal made the gameplay feel repetitive. I think adding more objectives or objectives would make the game more engaging. Overall, it's a good effort and I can see potential for further improvements.

Really neat looking game. The visual style is really pretty and the attack animation very enjoyable.

After a few rounds it gets really repetitive though & gathering the fruits doesn't really carry any purpose as it doesn't seem to be connected to any scoring or upgrade system.

Also managed to get myself stuck at some point (not sure how though).

Apart from that, it's a really decent jam entry.
Good job !

I really like the look of the game and the controls felt good. The music got a bit repetitive after a while.

Combos were great, visual style was well combined, and the sound effects were very fitting.
Could use a bit more variety though with the gameplay

Things I really enjoyed:

The 3 hit combo attacking felt spot on!  You can delay between attack, animation cancelling felt right.

I enjoyed the art direction / music / sound effects. (the hand drawn wiggle shader is nice touch, but it's practically screaming "add cell shading" to me haha. ).  Also the impact hitting the trees was satisfying!

The fruit slicing and splatters looked great!

Things that could use some work:

Game needs a bit heavier impact on hits (camera shake, deeper base on the hit sounds, etc.).  I want to feel like im really beating on those trees and rats.  ;)

I know that you were short on time, but the game doesn't have much of a goal.  Given the time constraints, maybe just count the number of rooms survived and post that when you die as a reason for players to come back to it.  Or total fruits gathered - until you can implement your smoothie mechanic.

I definitely see potential, this was great work given your limited time!

Nice! The graphics are great, and the combat is juicy and feels really responsive. I think if there was a main goal, like making a smoothie or something (idk), it would enhance the game as a whole. Well done!

Developer

Making a smoothie is exactly what I wanted to do!! I didn't really start the jam on time so I had to make some cuts haha. I'll let you know when the mechanic has been added :)

the art and animations are beautiful and the game is well done, though attacking with Z is a bad idea imo

Nice Artistic Direction, refreshing for a game jam :)
The animations and combos are cool!

The combats are a bit repetitive and I feel like I don't have many ways to avoid getting hit.
Good entry nonetheless! Good job :D

This feels very good to play, and I love the artstyle. It is very satisfying to cut the fruits from the trees and collect them. Good job!

I always believed there was potential for a franchise with Fruit Ninja… With crazy lore, and side-quels.

This game is so juicy I’m gonna die. Beautiful!

Overall well made, I really like the art/theme. attacking the trees felt satisfying, the fruit cutting was really cool. I felt that attacking the rats didn't meet the standard set by the trees. The fun/game loop was obviously impacted by the lack of a clear goal/ something to spend the fruit on, I take it by the description that this feature was incomplete/cut.

good job!
