Nice job! I found the king quite a bit more difficult than the rest of the game--it would have been great if he had some attacks or something other than just moving directly towards you. That said, it was really fun and greatly satisfying to use the special attacks to wipe out a wave of enemies
thank you! In the beginning, I wanted him to throw projectiles, but due to a lack if time, he's basically a standard ennemy with more HP.
Fair enough! There are absolutely features in every game jam game I've ever made that I wanted to include but didn't have time.

This plays really good! It feels great to use the big spells, very impactful, very fun! It also looks really nice and gameboy-ish.
I just think the balance could be better. If you spam the fireball enemies will always be kicked back. The only situations I got hit was when I wanted to use the big spells and came closer. So maybe there could be a limiter for the fireballs or more resistance for the enemies. Maybe ranged enemies could have helped as well.
But really, it was a fun short experience. I think it could also work great as a (local) co-op game, outside the GB theme. I would certainly play that!
