Really cool game! The graphics and music/sound effects are excellent... and it's a really interesting theme. I'll leave it on my flash cart and play it again in the future for sure :)

Great palette choice + art, and a wonderful soundtrack. The platforming felt a bit clunky and could do with some tweaking to the jump curve but I enjoyed the level design and spritework.

Nice art and sound direction. Especially like the palette and its Mario 2-esque use of a dark blue in place of black and shading. I noticed some jumps were a bit more difficult though seemingly because of inconsistent coyote time. Some platforms allowed me a split second of having left the ledge to jump, while others were more strict about only letting me jump from the visible block.

Great aesthetetics and music! Impresive opening scene too. The jump felt a bit clunky, as it had a lot of gravity (maybe that's intended). Also, the camera movement when you used a switch was a bit annoying. Great concept anyway, I'd like to play a more polished version of it.

Very impressive. It reminds me a bit of La Mulana, it's great you managed to pull off brief cutscenes when activating the switches. Good stuff!

A lovely game, well done, only thing I'd suggest is having a different sprite sheet for the character jumping/in the air so they don't feel so rigid, otherwise amazing work!!

This was a very interesting game. I loved your sprites, and the cinematic opening was very impressive! Music was really excellent too, however sometimes it would loop over itself really rough; it's hard to explain. It would like play two+ instances of itself at once sometimes and it was really chaotic! But switching rooms seemed to fix it. Only other nip pick I had was, at least that the beginning, the movement felt like a really weird mix of stiff but floaty. I got used to it though the longer I played.

Otherwise I had fun playing it! I did run into, what I think was a bug though that I found pretty funny. Right in the beginning area where the two first switches are, I could could jump into an open space and the game just ends lol. There's dialogue that talks about keys or something, but then it immediately transitions to "CONGRATULATIONS!" hahaha. I went back after doing that though and played the game for realsies ;P

Well done!

This game was a lot of fun and I feel like you hit some of the metroidvania stuff you were striving for. Honestly I'm impressed by how much you got done in a week, I could probably play this over and over for a while. The bosses were also fun nitbits to come across and impressively sized for a game boy game.
