This was fun.  I liked the AI of the bats and besides the x2 re scaling everything looked fairly clean.

Nice looking action game! The only tough thing was that you could only damage one enemy at a time, so it got really hard when they grouped on. But the implemented knockback helped with that.

Ah, the delicate art of the kite! leading the slimes around was tricky and satisfying, short and sweet!
I like Slashyguy's sword swing, the hitbox feels really solid on it. One thing you could do to improve it however, is when your slash detects multiple enemies, you loop through them and choose to damage the one that is closest to the player: there were a couple times where I was counting on the knockback to save me from a close enemy, and a farther back one got damaged instead.
The bats are really sporadic, which helps make fights more scrambly as well. The super slime was tricky the first couple attempts, but then I ended up getting lots of health drops from his slime spawn buddies, so it ended up being much easier on my last attempt. Maybe something to look into in the future for smoothing the difficulty.

Thanks so much for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it! Must admit I rushed things as I joined late then spent time fixing bugs and balancing gameplay, potions were a last minute addition it was harder before that haha. I'll be sure to take your extremely helpful advice into account and implement them into my next game of this kind.

Thanks! I would have added more but spent the last day fixing bugs haha.
PS: Checked out your game and rated, nice work!

A very fun game! Short but fun! I felt nostalgia as I remembered "Legend of Zelda" (nes). It is well polished in all aspects. Lest anyone say I just spoke well, I'd draw bigger enemies in more details and not just zoom in on smaller ones.

Congratulations!

Glad you enjoyed it, I'm heavily inspired by the 8/16-bit console games! Had limited time to get things done since I joined late and also had to work towards the end haha. Thanks I'll keep that in mind for my next jam :).
