Really nice game! I included it in my compilation video series of all of the GBJam 5 games, if you'd like to take a look :)

Fun game! Got a cyan screen with an error, had to question whether it was a fourth wall trick haha.

I love Tinder swiping upgrades!

So much about this game makes me happy. I'm particularly a fan of how the stats are aliterative.

Very cool dungeon crawler, simple but very well done!

Great entry! It's quite easy as far as roguelikes go, but the mechanics are solid and the sprites are cute.

A few things I disliked:

  • enemies could shoot diagonally, but you couldn't
  • sometimes you'd enter a room and get immediately hit by enemies near the door
  • I never found a good use for the shield and pretty much ignored it through the entire run

The UI for selecting upgrades was really nice, and the music was pretty great too.

Really cool entry! Loved exploring around the dungeon and loved the deity choices. Combat was simple but fun. I'd love to have a "charging up" mechanic where I could hold the fire button and throw a bigger energy ball at the enemies :)

Also, I realized you used Love2d (like we did!) which is always cool to see. I saw on Twitter that you wanted to try Love2d for this jam, how did that work out for you?

Great job on this! Love the graphics and the mechanics. Very reminiscent of the GameBoy era (as well as Zelda). The music is also top-notch!
