How does your game meet GBJam's theme?
The game is set with the character dealing with monstrous legends from Puerto Rico. Player must fight off the monsters to gain access to the final door that leads out of the hellish plaza.

The inclusion of Puerto Rican monsters makes this a really nice departure from the more common Halloween themes. It seems like you can challenge any number of monsters at a time, but defeating one of them will cause all of the others to disappear as well. I thought I should let you know about this bug in case you plan to develop the game further. Really nice concept!
Thanks. And yes, I plan on making a full version (fingers crossed) by Halloween.
I noticed the bug too, but it was too late to fix before I could submit. But hopefully I’ll have a finished game by Halloween. I definitely like the direction I have started for the game.
Can definitely see the potential here - a few more seconds on the control instruction screen would be great (or as you suggest a tutorial) - looking forward to seeing the next iteration of this one! Great start!
Thanks for the feedback. I’m excited I want to have the next iteration ready for Halloween. Fingers crossed.
You need to turn off anisotropic filtering for pixel art games, or they will show up blurry. Also I could not figure out the controls. It’s ok, game jams are not easy. Keep at it!
Thanks for the feedback. Should have provided somewhere to see the controls. Next iteration will have a tutorial portion for control learning.
Unfortunately I couldn't figure out what to do or where to go to progress in this game.
Thanks for the feedback.
You go up to each door present to release the monster/spirit. You would see the final door if you made it over to the furthest right doors.
I plan on doing more work on it to from top to bottom for a more polished product.
