Good game, what caught my attention the most was the detail in the explosion animations, very well executed.
I would recommend making the gameplay feel a bit more fun and adding a bit more feedback in the movement; sometimes I wasn't sure if I was moving.
Great job!

How does your game match the theme?
all of your furniture has been lost in space and you must fly around on your couch blowing up stuff in order to get it all back so that you can relax and enjoy some shows on the tube.

yeah, those explosions are fantastic! good point on the movement. i considered whether we needs some kind of thrusters or something on the couch, but then forgot to ask Mel (artist) to make some lol. maybe some kind of trail or particle effect could work too. something to think about. thanks for the feedback and for playing!
Super smooth and fun experience.
I noticed you lock your movement and free aim when holding fire. I would've locked the firing direction and allow strafing instead. It'd add some aiming finesse, and allow you to dodge bullets wile attacking. It'd change the vibes of the gameplay a lot through.
Excellent presentation, especially the music. Congrats!
Nice entry! I really liked the explosions and the palette, and it is always nice to see space invaders 👾
I like how you can go to the space without leaving the sofa. haha
The music is lovely too (played the windows version)
my only complaint is that the camera rarely frames the enemies until you are too close. I find a bit hard to aim properly because of this.
Anyway, great entry!
I don't have much to add; that was fantastic! Great art, great soundtrack, interesting concept. Great work!
Really cool idea and vibe, flying around on the couch in space! Its too bad the export messed up the audio like that
Cool game, the movement is satisfying, the palette is a good choice, the style fits perfectly with the theme and the music is nice :>
Cool concept, very interesting combination of action and furniture, I think this genre should be expanded in this direction more. This has one of the best soundtracks of the jam too, nice job!
Great game! Solid gameplay mechanics & excellent graphics. I just couldn't finish it due an overlapping music bug but I can see a lot of quality work here.
The art is really nice. It feels like it has more colors than a normal gameboy palette, but I think you just used the colors really well to add more details.
There is some nice juice as well with the screen shaking. I didn't experience any bugs while playin it, so it seems like the programming is pretty solid.
I love this one! The art was absolutely knocked out of the park. The palette was a perfect choice. The music and sounds were really fun and fit the vibe perfectly. :) Gameplay was really fun too, but it did start to feel repetitive by the time I got to the end. I wished there was a way to use the coins I found to purchase power ups or something along the way. Though the gameplay was still very good for a week's worth of work so I can't complain too much.
This was a super creative and awesome combination of different interpretations of the theme. And bonus points for the doggo.
Cool game! I died once not knowing what I was doing... took me a while to realize I was supposed to be collecting furniture. Got my place nice and spiffy, and was able to relax and watch TV thankfully.
Overall, you got a great rating from me, and I did play to what I assume is the end, even though you can keep shooting asteroids and aliens... Anyways, where it fell short for me was on the gameplay and soundtrack.
I can see lots of room for improvement, and right now I like that you slowly make your room more lively, but outside of shooting things and collecting furniture there wasn't much gameplay. As for the soundtrack... It was very calming and fitting for the concept, but it got repetitive fast... On lower volumes it is not that bad, and like I said the song is quite calming, one might even say cozy.
Anyways, great work, this was overall a very enjoyable experience. :D
i love the music, but yeah anything gets old after some time. maybe i should have alternated a couple of the tracks in the main gameplay area to reduce that happening. there were 2 tracks our musician made that didn’t make it into the game actually. we planned to have a shop with weapon upgrades and such, but i’m not the best coder and ultimately didn’t have the time to get it all done. thanks for playing and the feedback!
lol thanks for playing! i watched your stream vod. i think the doggo was the artist’s idea. there are actually 3 different ones you can pick up (it’s randomized). doggo was also meant to be a powerup of sorts that would help you out (like maybe auto-shooting or something), but alas, i didn’t get that into the game either.
oh! you probably played the HTML version. yeah, there’s a bug that is causing the music to not cut off so there are multiple songs playing simultaneously. unfortunately, this is caused by my old game engine (GameMaker 1.4) that is no longer supported and i don’t have any control over it. like i said on the game page, the PC version should work relatively bug-free (there are a few though) and the music should play correctly. thanks for playing and for the feedback!
