Good game! I liked the pusedo-3D aspect of it. Orienting myself was a bit of a challenge at times but the gameplay loop itself is solid :)

Amazing graphics, felt like it was hard to orient myself at times but I really liked the game's concept and it's impressive to see a dungeon crawler rpg kind of deal in so little time!
Excellent game!
Very streamlined system, it would've been great if there was some sort of highlight on the action menu when we're not in "moving around" mode. Excellent presentation overall. Definitely revisiting this one as soon as it's updated with the map.
Nice work!
Super cool! The vibe is really amazing!! Love the music and art.
Admittedly, I got super lost over time, but it was definitely fun exploring and fighting various creatures. Maybe more landmarks (or map like others suggested) would help? I had a few times the forest seemed to superimpose over itself. So I looked like I was moving, but I wasn't?
The level of detail on the art is amazing. Palette worked great with the style too!
I love the idea of these type of games. It's really nice but somehow UI with text down there and a lot of attacks draws my attention off the great looking screen of game itself soo maybe a little bit less possible actions of user or smaller UI to make me look at art of the game(just a suggestion). Great game overall. Keep up the good work
The vibes in this game are.... *chef's kiss* I absolutely loved it, even though I got super lost a lot because things kinda blended in. The art is amazing though, and I thought this was a super creative entry. Great work!!
Hey, great job on the look and feel of this game. The music and visuals are really spot on for this type of game. As others have mentioned it was a real struggle without a map, I also found it a bit odd that i could only heal during combat - but if I was a kid again with my gameboy and more time i'm sure i would have loved exploring this world :)
The graphics are very well made! I could reasonably see this being on an actual gameboy. Exploring the dungeon proved to be rather challenging, having some sort of map would’ve been helpful, though I can understand if leaving a map out was and intentional design choice. How each enemy responded differently to your different actions was a nice touch
Always great to hear it seems feasible on the original console itself.
Leaving a map out was just a time-constraint. I think at some point this week or next there'll definitely end up being a minimap at the very least. The original test map was 10x10 but the current one is somewhere around 24x24 or 32x32 so even we get lost a bit. Glad you enjoyed it!
This was a super cool dungeon crawler, the combat mechanics felt cohesive and simple enough to grasp right away. The art and sound worked together really well to create a spooky setting and I felt a sense of dread wandering around the forest. I think it might have been a good idea to hint to the players to draw a map but I realize I can go back and do that. I wouldn't want a map in-game but I did eventually get lost a couple times when I accidentally lost track of how many times I had turned around.
